Many people think he andHarold are the two campers that never take their socks and shoes off, but in Haut Camp-ture at the end when they are seated around the pool and vote off Leshawna, if you look closely- Ezekiel is completely bare-foot.

• This may have been a mess up, because Ezekiel always wears his shoes when swimming (even in the same episode) except in those brief scenes.

• Ezekiel is the only one to never mention anyone's name, except for in the special in which he utters Lindsay's name.
• Ezekiel is also the second quietest camper for only appearing in four episodes with not much dialogue.
• The only person to say his name was Chris, while everyone else refers to him as, "Home-school".
• Some fans can't, but Home-Schooled fans are able to point out Ezekiel was portrayed as a stereotypical Home-Schooled student-

• Being said to never leave his house.
• His parents want to protect him from the 'dangers' of the world.
• He's anti-social and has no manners or knowledge of civilization.
• His parents follow olden time and stereotypical conservative ideals, such as sexism.
• He wears mainly sweats and more sleep-wear like clothing than the other campers, a reference to the stereotypical belief that home-schoolers wear nothing but their PJs all day.

• It is possible that Ezekiel is of Jewish heritage, due to his name being Jewish.
• Ezekiel was said to be one of the only campers that had an offensive stereotypical personality- as he was portrayed as a stereotypical student of an educational choice (Home-Schooling) and a stereotypical citizen (of Canada). For these reasons, he is said to be very disliked by some fans and very loved by other fans who find it light and comical.

Due to being the first camper eliminated, Ezekiel is pretty much the rock bottom camper.

• He was one of the only two campers (the other being Noah) who didn't earn a single marshmallow.
• He was one of the only two campers (the other being Tyler) to never use the Confessional stall.
• He is the camper to appear in the least amount of episodes.

• She and Sadie are the only ones who knew each other before coming to Total Drama Island other then Izzy and Justin
• In Haut Camp-ture it is reveled that Katie and Sadie are from Toronto, Ontario.
• In Dodgebrawl, she is the only camper to be in all rounds of dodgeball.
• Her father is Filipino/Jamaican and her mother is Canadian/Nigerian

Tyler:
Tyler is the character with the least back-story.

• Despite looking and acting like a jock, he appears to be the most sensitive male camper, as he cries after being humiliated by his lack of ability to conquer his fears.
• Lindsay didn't really care too much when he got voted off (or she may have just been so dumb.)
• Tyler is the only one (other than Ezekiel) who doesn't use the Confessional stall.

Cody:
Despite his geekiness, Cody is extremely popular with fans. In fact, fans of the show have threatened to not watch future episodes unless Cody appears in them.

He was kissed 2 times in the show (Big Sleep by Noah and in Paintball Deer Hunter by Beth) For the latter, some fans have interpreted that as a sign that Beth has a relationship with him.

• He appears to have a problem with wetting himself when he's scared (as he does so twice in "The Sucky Outdoors").

Beth:
She often spits while talking. She also talks as though she has her braces in her mouth.
She greatly resembles Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo (her glasses even look exactly like Velma Dinkley's glasses).
In Total Drama Action, she has apparently gotten her braces off (therefore she might actually talk normally in the second season).

• She was one of the campers (Owen, Geoff, Gwen, Courtney) to have a crying fit.
• She cries for a long time after Katie is voted off in The Sucky Outdoors.

Courtney:

So far, she is said to not return in Total Drama Action as a competitor, but foreshadowing by her in the special and the official blog indicates that she may have a bigger role in TDA than the other non-competitors. What this means exactly remains to be seen.

• She, Justin, and Leshawna were all wrongly eliminated.
• Courtney was voted off due to Harold's grudge on Duncan.
• She, Trent and Harold are the only three campers that can play an instrument; violin, guitar and keyboard, respectively.
• According to the Total Drama Website, Courtney is also the author of a bestselling book series called "Total Triumph for Teens."
• Courtney is one of the four campers who does not appear to bring luggage with her when introduced in the first episode. The others are Izzy, Ezekiel and Justin.
• She is one of the few campers to actually curse in the Canadian version of the show (this was during her audition tape). Courtney seems to have more edited dialog than most of the other campers (see Cartoon Network for a list of the censoring).

Harold:

During the reunion special, Leshawna broke up with Harold, saying they went too fast. It's unknown whether or not Harold accepted the break up, as afterwards he yells he will win her over and then goes on to ramble in the confessional how they will possibly move in together (Specifically in his mother's basement) when they're 30- he possibly still has feelings for her. During the challenge to find the million dollar case, he befriended Heather after she opened up about her insecurities, they might possibly have a relationship in the future. It is interesting to see whom Harold will go with as he seemingly could go either way (Pending if Leshawna changes her mind).

• He is one of the few campers to show a form of nudity. Other then Owen
• He was the last camper to be eliminated before the teams were dissolved.
• He has the most consecutive and collective bottom two appearances than any of the other campers.
• He and Ezekiel are the only campers who pick their noses.
• Harold is the ONLY camper to never take off his socks and shoes. Most people think Ezekiel never does, but in Haut Camp-ture if you look closely when they are seated around the pool voting Leshawna off, Ezekiel is completely bare-foot, however, he wears shoes up until that point.

Trent:

• Despite being considered "cool" and thus being idolized by most other male characters, (especially Cody) he surprisingly ends up humiliating himself in numerous episodes, usually by accident.
• He (along with Cody, Geoff, and Heather) is one of the 4 campers to suffer a near death experience.

• Eating poisonous blowfish.
• Pushed out of a plane and landing deep in the ground.
• Gets a concussion after Owen tosses a basket of oranges at his head.

• Trent is the only camper whom undeniably kissed more than one camper (1.Gwen, 2. Heather).
• Trent's least favorite food is broccoli.

• Trent's parents had to force feed him broccoli when he was a kid.

• Trent says he has a weak stomach.
• Trent throws up more times than any other camper.
• Trent uses the same guitar all the time.
• He is one of the only campers that can play a musical instrument. The others being Courtney, who can play the violin and Harold, who can play the keyboard. It's debatable whether or not what Cody can do on his keyboard (in his audition tape) can be considered knowing how to 'play' an instrument.
• He is also one of the only two campers that said "crap" in the American airing (in his audition, featured on the episode TDI Rundown), the other being Bridgette.
• It is debatable that his last name is Smith- because his shirt said it on his original design
• Trent is the one of the two accident-prone campers (the other being Tyler).
• Trent and Tyler are similar to Kenny McCormick from South Park, due to the bad things that happen to them in almost every episode (Kenny is notable on South Park for dying in almost every episode)
• Trent is noted as smart.

• He knows what a haiku is. (X-Treme Torture)
• He learned to play guitar and says he writes his own songs.
• He claims to get straight A's in school (The Very Last Episode, Really!)

Bridgette:
She is a go-with-the-flow type of person who tries to avoid fights whenever possible, and she tries to make the best of any situation. She is a vegetarian and loves animals, mainly the water kind.

Before TDI she was a lifeguard.
She is the first camper to throw up.


Lindsay:
Lindsay is popular for many reasons; being good looking, lacking in intelligence but making up for it by having good-hearted intentions, being wound up in several humorous mishaps (Hide and Be Sneaky, for example), and being the one to snap and go ballistic on Heather on national TV.

There is only one episode Lindsay does not appear in, or is mentioned in, and that one is Wawanakwa Gone Wild!

• She and Owen are the only campers to curse at another camper.
• She has the largest breasts on the show.
• Irony shows that she appeared in the bottom two twice, yet she left the island without a ceremony.

• She has a problem with remembering names, as evident throughout the series. Even if the person was a close friend of Lindsay, more often than not she would get their name wrong, sometimes more than once.

Chris McLean: At first she could not remember his name at all, but later called him Chip in No Pain, No Game.
Gwen: Called her Greta in That's Off The Chain!, but has called her by her proper name in the past (Not Quite Famous), as well as after this episode (Haut Camp-ture).
Trent: Called him Todd in Who Can You Trust?, despite getting his name right in at least one episode prior to this one (namely Up The Creek).
Heather: Called her Hannah in Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island!, but this may have been on purpose.
Beth: Called her Belle in Paintball Deer Hunter.
LeShawna: Lindsay had two names for her; the more commonly-used Lequesha, as well as LaFonda in Haut Camp-ture.
Eva: Lindsay may have simply mispronounced her name as "Ava", as that is a commonly-accepted pronunciation of the name; just not in this particular Eva's case. She called her this in No Pain, No Game. She has correctly pronounced Eva's name before, particularly in The Big Sleep.
Duncan: Called him Doug in X-Treme Torture.
Tyler: Called him Taylor at the end of Phobia Factor, but quickly corrected herself.

DJ:
He is the tallest camper in the show. He is also the strongest male camper.

He is one of the four male campers to never share any kind of a kiss with a female camper on the show, the other three are Noah, Ezekiel and Justin. He is one of the five campers to never give or receive a kiss to or from any camper, the others are Katie, Sadie, Ezekiel and Justin.

• DJ is one of the three confirmed black characters, the others are Leshawna and Chef. It is debatable of what descent other dark skinned characters, such as Katie, Noah and Justin are.
• DJ is the only camper to go by his initials rather than a first name. No one knows what DJ stands for (though some fans say it's possible he may share a name with Duncan and therefore had to go by his initials to avoid confusion).

• In his audition tape, he refers to himself as DJ, implying that's his first name.

• DJ is one of the four campers to have undeniable facial hair, the others are Harold, Duncan and Ezekiel (It's debated whether what Trent has on his chin is a crest or hair)- but DJ has the most of any camper.
• He has the most stated fears on the show.
• He was the first camper that swore on the show, saying "oh *beep*" in the first episode when the campers found out their first challenge.
• People Got Upset when they didn't see DJ smile a lot on the special

• In his audition tape, he is at a "typical weeknight" party with a couple hundred of friends. He goes on to saying that life is over very quickly, and that you need to enjoy it well by throwing a party every day of the week.
• He is the only male camper who always shows his chest.

Leshawna:

• Unlike the other campers, LeShawna actually looks like she's an adult rather than a teenager.
• Leshawna walks in a peculier fashion: her arms are bent at 90 degree angles in front of her and not parallel to her sides.
• Originally Leshawna had different clothes on, but in the original promo, she looks the same, but her clothes look a little loose fitting.

Gwen joined Total Drama Island because her younger brother dared her to; she thought that it would humor him so she signed up. Gwen is aggressively defensive.
People think that she is a pessimist, which she isn't, but steadfastly refuses to be cheerful. However the truth in reality is that Gwen is not a bitter person, but rather guarded and cautious about whom she lets in.

When she was tethered to Geoff, she wound up revealing that she was never invited to a party and sometimes wishes that she could be a party girl (something that Geoff sensed and wished to help with). Gwen seems to give off the impression that she wants to join the crowd, but she is too cautious about who to let in and she could never fit right in, so she became a lone wolf who spends most of her time alone.

However, her experience on Total Drama Island seems to change her personality and becomes a more outgoing person, in fact, for a so-called goth, she has befriended the majority of the campers on the show, moreso than most others have.
She learns that there are people on the island who care about her such as Trent, (a fellow camper who seems to share the same interests as Gwen and even wrote her a song). It is noted that he also has a crush on her. She has also received unwanted attention from Cody, but after he helped hook her up with Trent she started to consider him a close friend. Geoff (who actually invited her to her first party) showed her friendliness by talking with her and listening to her problems.

She also develops solid friendships with Bridgette and Leshawna.
While Gwen treats her harshly at first, she grows to respect Lindsay, especially in I Triple Dog Dare You! where her dare ultimately resulted in her rival, Heather, finally getting eliminated from the contest. Off-screen, it seems she has befriended Eva despite thinking she was a freak previously, as she is seen conversing with Eva casually during promos for the TDI special (not to mention Eva is one of the few who sided with Gwen in The Very Last Episode, Really!, even after Owen promised everyone a party if he were to win).

Gwen also considers DJ to be one of the few sane people on the island. She developed a friendly rivalry with Owen in the finals, admitting she would be happy to lose to him if she had to lose to anyone. And though they have had their differences, Gwen and Duncan share many common interests and have similar personalities. When Duncan was eliminated from the competition, they parted on good terms, admitting Duncan played the game well.


Many people wanted Gwen to win over Owen, until the poll on the Total Drama Island website. On the poll, Gwen got 48% of the vote to Owen's 52% on the subject of who should win.

• Her favorite color is midnight blue.
• Gwen has an interest in art (shown several times throughout the show, and says she wishes to study art at university in the future) and astronomy (shown in The Big Sleep).
• Because Gwen failed to read the fine print on her contract and was unable to destroy all copies of it, she was forced to compete in both Total Drama Island and Total Drama Action against her will.
• Gwen is one of the three characters (the other two being Owen and Heather) to be featured in all episodes of the show (unless you count Duncan's brief appearance in I Triple Dog Dare You).
• Gwen, along with Owen, are the only two campers that do not seem to have an audition tape. This is because the audition tapes were only shown after their respective campers were voted off; Owen won the contest and Gwen, being a finalist, was never formally eliminated from the tournament that would allow time for her audition tape to be shown.
• She (along with Sadie, Courtney, Owen, and Geoff) is one of the only campers to have a crying fit.

• She cries at the dock of shame after she sees Trent kissing Heather.

• For a "goth", she's unusually peppy and open-minded, breaking free of the Goth stereotype.
• She, along with Harold, is the only camper to win her team 2 challenges (The Big Sleep, and Basic Straining).
• Although Gwen often mentions that she hates everyone on the show, she befriends several people on the island and easily has more friends than enemies.
• There is actually an interesting note about Gwen and Owen, they are both in the final two and their names end in "wen," which is noted by Chris, who said this may not have been a coincidence.

Owen:

When he first arrives on the island, he is extremely excited to be there despite not being in the place that the application claimed he would be at. He joined the show because he thought it sounded cool, and he enjoys outhouses. He is always up for the challenges, but often ends up failing in humorous ways. As a running gag in the series, Owen is frequently naked, and/or passing wind. He is very optimistic, in contrast to Noah's pessimism and Eva's temper and non-smiling attitude, and does whatever it takes to help his team (even if they don't want it).

Besides his cheery disposition, Owen is mainly known for his obscene appetite. Over the course of the series, Owen has eaten many things people would otherwise consider disgusting, from garbage to toilet bowl seats.

Instead of focusing on the competition near the end of the series in I Triple Dog Dare You, Owen instead harps on endlessly about his love for pancakes. In that same episode, he has (on a dare) eaten dog food and Harold's chewed gum.
He is the only person who has little to no complaints about Chef Hatchet's abysmal cooking, often asking for seconds and eating whatever the other campers do not finish.
He has even complimented Chef's meals on rare occasions. In Brunch of Disgustingness, Owen claims he would literally eat anything, even his own drawers if he had to. And it was Owen's willingness to eat anything that ultimately won him and his all-guys team the challenge of that episode: a weekend on a luxury yacht. It is shown one episode later that Owen can get rather emotional when food is wasted, such as when LeShawna rejects his generous offer for chocolate-covered cherry blossoms by throwing the entire box of them into the lake. Owen cries for the loss.

While Owen's love for food has earned him some critical wins over the series, it also caused him and/or his team to lose at times as well. In Are We There Yeti?, Owen's attraction to the scent of Chef's sticky buns cost him and Duncan the challenge, and ultimately caused Duncan to get eliminated from the competition because of his nearly-insatiable hunger (Owen was saved only because he respects Chef's cooking and did not constantly irritate him in the past like Duncan had).
He gave in to temptation in If You Can't Take The Heat... by eating almost the entirety of his team's main course, the ribs.
But because it was revealed that Beth had inadvertently cursed her team with a Tiki doll she brought from Boney Island in the same episode, Owen was again saved from elimination.

Overall, though, for Owen himself, his appetite proved to help more than hinder him, as it was the scent of freshly-baked brownies that rejuvenated his exhausted body in The Very Last Episode, Really!, allowing him to pass Gwen and reach the finish line. With his keen sense of smell and bottomless pit for a stomach, Owen won Total Drama Island and $100,000.

Outside of Owen's love for food, Owen thinks of himself as a great outdoors man.
He often told his friends of hunting stories with his grandfather in his youth, though they turned out to be exaggerated tall tales.

He takes the outdoor wildlife challenges very seriously, often monologuing about the thrill of the hunt and the importance of being in tune with Mother Nature and the animals of the forest. Despite his efforts, Owen in reality is a rather poor hunter, and his uncontrollable flatulence almost always foils his attempts to be stealthy.

In Paintball Deer Hunter, it is shown that he is also not a very good shot with a paintball gun, running out of ammunition by the time he finally corners his prey, never once hitting his intended target.
While his spirit and determination is admirable (he still resolves to succeed in the challenge after being thrown off a cliff), hunting and surviving in the wild is definitely not an area where Owen is strong in. On the positive side, he proves to be an excellent fisherman in The Sucky Outdoors and has a keen sense of smell.

He attempts to bond with the wildlife of Muskoka several times, but often ends up on the receiving end of an animal attack. Owen is in fact is the unluckiest camper when it comes to close encounters with the wild animals.
He has been attacked by bears, a chipmunk, beavers, a raccoon, a rattlesnake, bees, and various other forms of wildlife. But, unlike Cody, who was so severely mauled by a bear that he was rendered useless as a teammate and voted off the island as a result, Owen always manages to recover quickly from his injuries.

At the beginning of the series, he shows signs of being bisexual, such as being happy he wasn't bunking with girls, stating that he wanted to kiss Justin, and kissing both Duncan and Geoff when they formed the guys' alliance.
However, later in the series he shows an attraction to Izzy and made out with her during Hook, Line, and Screamer.

It is possible that what he says in regards to his male companions is merely platonic but continues to word his feelings the wrong way as a running gag, but even well after Justin is voted off the island and Owen had started a relationship with Izzy, Owen often gushes over Justin's "chiseled" features in a way that insinuates that he may be physically attracted to Justin. He was also the only man to be swayed by Justin's charms in Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island! similar to the way the women were, though thanks to his friends, he was quickly snapped out of it.

Despite his attraction to Justin, it is well overshadowed by Owen's feelings for Izzy, whom he had proclaimed his love for in the same episode early on. It is worth noting that while Owen and Izzy's relationship was caught in a snag due to the events of Hook, Line, and Screamer, Izzy has apparently forgiven Owen because she played the largest part in getting Owen to win Total Drama Island, as it was her who came up with the idea of rejuvenating Owen with the scent of freshly-baked brownies. They celebrated by hugging and kissing each other, reaffirming the fact that they had made up.
In the special, however, their relationship was not touched upon very much outside of Owen's proclamation of love; Owen and Izzy ended up in different search teams for the million-dollar case.

But it is worth noting that Owen said in the Confessional stall, "How can you not love a woman who belches like a man and comes back for more?". Izzy's male-like qualities being glorified by Owen could be seen as strong evidence that he is indeed bisexual. Both Owen and Izzy qualified to compete in Total Drama Action, so there may be more events yet to come in Owen's love life, especially since Justin is also coming back as a competitor, and Izzy regards him as an enemy.

Owen is obscenely overweight and weighs about 296 pounds.
Owen generally gets along with everyone, and is one of the very few campers who actually tries to befriend Heather despite her attitude. but quickly becomes intimidated by her.
However, he does grow to despise Heather when she relentlessly insults Izzy (to the point where is willing to forfeit the entire contest simply so that Heather would lose and he could be free from her, seeing as they were handcuffed in the challenge).
The incident angered Owen to the point where he actually cursed at Heather, something that only Lindsay had the courage to do beforehand.

In the first few episodes, Noah and Owen appear to get along (Owen seems to get Noah's obscure, geeky jokes). Owen also carries Noah on his shoulder, lays him on a table and checks if he is breathing when Noah passes out in The Big Sleep due to running). However, in Dodgebrawl, Owen came to dislike Noah like everyone else when he criticized his teammates for their loss without even trying to help out.

In the end, he wins Total Drama Island and the $100,000. However, he forfeits the money when he is offered to compete with the rest of the campers to win $1,000,000. In the end, the case that contained the money was eaten by a shark and there were no winners. However, since Owen was at the Dock of Shame when the case was lost, he qualified to try to win the money again in the second season along with thirteen other campers.

Owen's parents (both of which are obese) send a video log to him at camp. His father says that he was very proud when Owen burped the entire alphabet in the talent show episode, and his mother says that she sent him a care package full of gravy. His mother's facial expressions resemble Sadie's.

Up until later on in Total Drama Island, Owen was was well received by fans. Due to him getting more attention then other campers, fans have grown to dislike Owen, however Owen got 52% of the viewer votes in America for who should win show it shows he is still well received by fans.

He is the most optimistic camper.

• At the start of the series, Owen is seen near Trent numerous times (this is ironic since they are voiced by the same actor).
• Owen is the only male camper from the Screaming Gophers, besides Trent, to make it to the final ten (all the other guys in the final ten were from the Killer Bass).
• Owen's design is quite possibly based off of the the fat character from the show "Lost."
• Owen is also the only male camper to make it to the final three (the other two were Gwen and Heather).
• Owen is one of the three characters (the others being Gwen and Heather) to be featured in all episodes of the show.

He is also one of the few campers to show a form of nudity (His front and rear, many many times). Others include Izzy, Heather, Harold, Geoff and possibly Cody.

• He has shown the most nudity of any other camper.

• Owen is also the only character to have dialog in every episode of the season.
• Despite some belief, Owen does not actually get more attention than the other campers. In fact, all the campers seem to get a fair amount of attention until they start to thin out the number of competitors; then certain campers start to become major focuses of an episode.
• Owen as well as Gwen are the only two campers not shown to have an audition tape. This is because audition tapes were shown after the character was voted off. Since neither were kicked off of the island, neither had their audition tapes shown.
• Owen seems to have the most friends out of all the campers.
• Owen saved 2 lives, Noah's and Chris'.

• Owen and Gwen are spelled with the same letters except for the first ones.
