Survey: Many prefer
Internet over sex
New study shows surprising results
LOS ANGELES - What's more important to American women -- sex or the Internet? The answer might be surprising.
Almost half of the women surveyed in a recent poll by Harris Interactive said they'd be willing to forgo sex for two weeks, rather than give up their Internet access.
The study released Monday by Intel , which commissioned the survey, found that 46 percent of women were willing to engage in abstinence compared to 30 percent of men.
Among men and women in the 18- to 34-year-old range, the numbers were even higher. For women, 49 percent chose the Web over sex, while 39 percent of men said the Internet was more important.
Fifty-two percent of women 35 to 44 years said they needed the Internet more than sex.
