Well, after nearly 5 years of declining ratings, I think that this finale show has generated more buzz than any since the first one. I was down at the mall today and do you know that the Sears was literally booming in the television section. I'll bet there were ten people waiting in line to buy one of those big screen televisions with a remote control so that they can optimize their survivor finale show viewing. ("Delivery by tommorow: Guaranteed!" is what one sign said) When's the last time you went out and upgraded your television because of a television show? (For me it was when they did that movie about the Seever family going to Washington DC in the growing pain reunion. Some things you just have to see on the bigscreen.)
Well, then I went to the Costco, and it was packed too, with people buying televisions, beer, and chips and frozen pizzas by the dozens, laundry detergent, etc. It reminded me of that time I was going to vote, but the line was too long.
Anyway, while I checked out (with my bottle of Bonny Doon Big House Red), I asked one of the cashiers if the costco is always that busy before a survivor finale show starts, and she said "no".
Note to Jeff Probe (if you read this): With the thousands of people planning to watch this show tommorow, this could be the breakout hit that could make you a star. You're in the big time now! Good luck!
