Honestly, gift cards for a craft place, like A.C. Moore or wherever... teachers have no pay and no budget and are constantly spending their meager pay on
crafts for the kids in the classroom.

probably works as hard as the teacher). Should they get different gifts of different monetary amounts or the same?

I always wanted to get my teachers perfume. My mom told me no because she would think that we are saying she stinks.
It's stayed with me to this day. Perfume is difficult for me to buy someone because it may make them think they stink. Go with cashmere gloves or an iPod. Tiffany earrings are good too. |

Give a higher amount (25 or so depending on if your child is a pain in the ass or not) to the main teacher and then $5 for all the other people that deal with
your child on a regular basis. The music teacher, librarian, if there is someone that they go to for tutoring. If there is someone outside of the main
classroom that has gone out of the way for your child (someone that tutors them individually or if the PE teacher coaches them extra or if the music teacher
gave them a solo) then give them a little more.
If money is an issue have your child make homemade cards and or ornaments for the extra teachers. You can buy ornaments cheap. Do not buy food unless it can sit around for months, do not buy jewelry or lotion or homemade food ect unless you are sure the teacher will like it, otherwise you wasted your time or money as it will be tossed. If you want to get something for the teachers lounge wait till Jan, there is enough food in there already. |

I believe in some states, the powers that be, have set an amount to be received within the school year for teachers. I thought I heard as a total it was about
$50. - that's the internet though...I really don't know.
I also think that it was set due to parents buying grades and stature. So, probably, buying crafts or needed supplies for the whole class, maybe even anonymously, could guarantee that your child would have something constructive to do with classmates, instead of the teacher spending her/his slight money on something not funded by your school district and condoned as "look out the window time". |

their music teachers etc anything.
