Justin's fans see and talk with Justin every week, on his BlogTalkRadio.com radio show, Tuesday nights 6 p.m! :) He's set it up as a webisode so that he's actually on camera each week as he does the show. He takes the opportunity to talk to the fans in person there, and vice versa, every week. Yes, I know, we're very lucky, and happy about that. Now that's the way to treat your fans, wouldntchasay? :):):) There's at least 30 people chatting in there every week (and MANY more just listening), and its one of the most popular shows there. LOTS and LOTS of fun. Everyone's welcome. :)

I don't know why kfans seem to think that ONLY if you are singing pre-packaged songs written by 46 year old men for 26 year old women trying to pretend they're 16, with the word "U" in them, that all sound basically the same, every other year or so ... ONLY then are you deemed to have a career in the entertainment industry ... lol.

Actually, Justin's got a lot coming up.
- First, yes, he'll be on Gone Country, which will kick off with a one hour premiere show on January 24th, 8-9 p.m., and then run through March 7, and end with a one hour finale. We've already heard the song, and its damn good! :) One thing for sure this show is gonig to be a blast, from all we've heard so far about it. Can't wait! :)
- Second, he'll be featured in a huge campaign by Disney after the start of the year, as the representative for their mega-new attraction at Disney World, The American Idol Experience. Justin is the only Idol to be associated with the attraction this way. The promo blitz already started with the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade where Disney had what amounted to a full blown commercial for the attraction centered around Justin, and a special recording he made for the legendary producers Gamble and Huff. It was done at their recording studio in Philly, where Justin recorded his voice over the original track of their signature song "Love Train." That was then featured in the parade. Disney built a special float with Justin up front and center way up high as their standard bearer for the new attraction (and his leg had to chained to the float, so he wouldn't tumble off! lol). That whole Disney campaign is just starting, we'll hear a lot more about that in the upcoming months.
- Third, he'll be hosting his two shows again from January to May on the TV Guide Channel "Idol Tonight" and "Idol Wrap"
- Fourth, he'll be featured on a smooth jazz cd, with a band called Drivetime, singing Bobby Caldwell's "What I Do For Love." That will be released this month.
- Fifth, not entirely sure of this yet, but I do believe he'll be writing his weekly blog again for Fancast, commenting on the new Idol season coming up.
- And, of course, as mentioned above, he does his radio show each week on Tuesday nights. He'll be unveiling a huge new set up and format for the show in January. That's all we know about that so far.

Have I missed anything? lol. Probably!

The fact is, Justin has a great career going in the entertainment industry right now. Yes, he doesn't have have Dr. Luke writing "U" songs for him, or Clive telling him what he has to sing and perform, but isn't that a good thing? I think so! Instead, he has a varied and interesting career doing, well, just about everything! Justin is an all around entertainer, not just a singer, and he's singing, composing, hosting and appearing on TV and radio shows, writing blogs, and just generally having a grand old time doing it all right now. And so are we, his fans. Happy happy! :)

You still don't get it. Justin is doing it all.

In terms of music,
he's singing jazz - in clubs and on tracks on others' cds,
AND his own r&b/funk - his recent EP, available at his website
AND old style Philadelphia style r&b - working with Gamble and Huff in their studios on the original track of "Love Train" (with Disney paying the bills btw!),
AND country.

The show is really a way for him to continue to explore song writing, and he gets to work with some well known writers in that genre on the show.

In terms of TV, he's doing his Idol shows, and he'll be seen on Gone Country too, which is gettings LOTS of publicity.

Beyond that, he's trying out new media, with his radio broadcasts and webisodes. And continuing to appear for his fans regularly around the country. (He's in Atlatnta tonight, doing a special show for the Salvation Army during this holiday season. Tamyra is on the bill too).

And he's going to have the opportunity to do so much more with this Disney gig, because becoming (or hasn't he always been? hmmm) the standard bearer or official mascot for AI in other media, is going to pay some nice bills, and leave some bucks left over with which to do other things. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, I say. Believe me, Kelly will be singing that tune this year, as she tries to promote her cd.

Justin is an entertainer, and he's doing very well thank you! For those who wring their hands and worry that Justin doesn't "focus," well guess what? He set out to do it all, and it looks like hes doing just that, while y'all were worrying! lol. And btw, he's happier than he's every been, that I know for sure. :)

btw, I didn't know that about Fantasia? What gives for Tasia these days? That's terrible!
