I've never had such swings in opinion about a contestant post-boot as I have about Charlie. I didn't have much on him during the time he was actually on the show. I started really liking him when I read his post-boot interviews (I'm a sucker for someone who is actually a fan of the game). But then Corinne's Ponderosa video killed it for me. First the appallingly immature comment even from her, "it's just like in high school, I'm friends with the attractive, intelligent people and then there's everyone else" (or something along those lines) and then Charlie is so overjoyed to see her. Not only did my opinion of Charlie plummet, but my opinion of Sugar only got more solidly high as I totally discounted what Charlie had said about Sugar's edit. (Already had discounted what Randy said.)

Always disliked Marcus. (Though I have a soft spot for Li'l Marcus. Pun intended.)

But I can call true racial bigotry out when I see it, and what Corinne said was incredibly out of line and fucking bigoted as all hell.

There is no defense.

I never really had an opinion of Charlie or Marcus on the show, but my opinion of Marcus went down after reading some of his interviews. My opinion of Charlie pretty much remains the same. I don't often use racist if I hear someone make a comment that could be interpreted as a racial slur. Even when Randy went off on his rant to Crystal at tribal council saying things like "posse" and "gang", I gave him the benefit of the doubt, thinking that he could've been just riled up and wasn't thinking about what he was saying. Corrine has made way too many racial slurs to even try and defend her.
