She does get some credit for calling it off with the dude by the episode's end.
I bet she didn't give back the ring though. She should.

Maybe she didn't realize what she was doing was such a bad thing until she heard about it from someone on the outside of it...you know what I mean?

I feel like Kaitlyn's storylines are done. She's out, everyone knows and has accepted it. Not much left to cover. So she'll probably just be background all season unless she starts some drama (hopefully <3). It didn't sound like Devyn's fiance was an innocent saint either. Devyn probably is just playing the field, who cares. Guys do it and nobody cares, girls do it and they are these awful despicable whores. Whatever floats her boat, doesn't matter to me. |

OK, no...guys don't accept diamond engagement rings and regular cash payments like Devyn was doing. There's a bit of a difference between playing the field and playing a fool. |

Guys are playing for sex, girls are playing for money. Same principal and concept. Both are equally just as bad, no need for rationalization.
Why do I have a feeling we're headed for another pointless arguement, Carboy? |

Here's a little info about the ratings: January 8, 2009 6:43 PM MTV's 'Real World' Improves on Youth RatingsThe season premiere of MTV's "The Real World: Brooklyn" launched Wednesday night, improving its ratings compared to last season among viewers 12-34 for the network. The 21st season opener scored a 2.3 rating among viewers 12-34, ranking as the No. 1 cable show in the demographic for the 10 p.m. hour and the entire day. The strong performance also gave MTV its strongest Wednesday night in the demographic since summer 2007. The network didn't provide other ratings information. Compared to the last season premiere of "The Real World: Hollywood" in April 2008, "Brooklyn's" rating was 6% higher in the demographic. The episode, watched by 2.26 million viewers, also gave the network a fivefold ratings increase week over week. ----------------------When I said that having Katelyn on the show could help with transgender acceptance with the young viewers, I was thinking about these studies. Even though they say the results are not conclusive, I think that having openly GLBT people on tv has made a big difference in the acceptance of GLBTs in our culture. I just don't get it... Don't these ppl that sign up n go on these shows understand the fact that whatever they say might be, and probably will be,
shown to the whole nation? So if you've got a BF/GF, don't go seeing some other person when all of this is gonna be on national TV! It happens time n
time again... Like WTF? I'd understand Ryan/Katelyn/Devyn's actions if they moved to some house with no cameras but I mean COME ON! Don't send
sentimental emails to Baya, Ryan! Don't go on dates with other guys, Katelyn! DON'T ADMIT THE FACT THAT U USE YOUR BF ONLY FOR HIS MONEY, Devyn! Jeez

Yeah, they are aware of it. They are young too. Young people make mistakes. And the young people that do not make mistakes do not get cast.

That's really scary. I could never imagine living every day knowing you could get called to go back to Iraq.
But yeah he was on the Aftershow, so maybe not? The phone call could have been about a friend getting called back, possibly someone from his unit or something. |

Did anyone else just see the preview for next week?
It showed Devyn talking on the phone to someone and JD comes storming in the room, rips the phone out of her hand while she's still talking and pitches it over the deck of the house out into the water? I hope she kicks his ass. |
