I wonder what it was that made them go in this direction, perhaps the fact that the entire Hollywood cast was disgusting and didnt have a single truly likable person. I'm also thrilled that they got rid of the job...it has never ever worked except in Boston. In Boston working at the after school center made the season better (still my favorite season ever), but they have failed every time since then. <3 Genesis & Kameelah <3

Nehmiah wasn't anti-war Nehmiah was just a huge tool. I actually really like the hour long episodes I think a few seasons in the past would have enhanced the seasons tremendously if they only had to tell 12 storys rather then 22. I think Phili, Denver, Seattle, Hawaii, and LA would have been much better seasons had they been shorter. It's pretty rare for a season to have a lot of quality half hour episodes, San Deigo, San Fransisco, and Las Vegas had a lot of action and a perfect cast so they could get away with 30 minute blocks.

Starting with Hawaii, it seems like they just started casting a bunch of oversexed tools. This is the first season in quite some time I'm looking forward to. As for the hour long episodes, I don't mind. It would always seem they'd have to have about 5 marathons just to catch people up. And, 6 months later, you'd always be like, "wow, this season hasn't ended yet?"

I really haven't seen a lot of the older episodes, but I did see a big chunk of Hawaii and then Paris-now. I can't really judge that these newer seasons suck compared to the old ones, but I did read Judd Winick's "Pedro and Me" and that was from San Francisco. I hope Brooklyn can live up to Hollywood. That was a great season, even though everyone at the end turned out to be major douche bags, except for Brianna. <3

Melissa <3 IIRC, Julie would call places where Melissa had speaking engagements and tell them that Melissa was a horrible person or some shit like that, and then offer to do it for a little less money. Plus Julie was an asshole.
