The idol has produced many great moments, from China on. It may be a little played out, but I'm 50/50.

It's not worth it. The HII makes the show about itself. Watch the last few seasons. All they ever fucking talk about is the idol. Panama and Gabon are the best of these seasons, a lot of which has to do with the idol being non entitys in those seasons. |

I think there should be 6 hidden immunity idols, each of increasing size like those Russian doll things that fit inside each other.
That way, when someone plays an idol at Tribal Council before the votes are read, only the largest idol played at that Tribal Council counts. So basically if you see some jerk you all just voted for pull out his idol and it's medium-sized, you can play your larger-sized idol to cancel his out. CRAZZZY |

Except casual fans don't hate the HII.

The casual fans wouldn't care one way or another if each tribe had a representitive court jester. They seem to have short term memories, so therefore, if
actual fans take the show into their own hands by refusing to use the HII, it might go away.

I'm okay with the idol. After 18 seasons it's almost necessary to keep some sort of interest. I think the fact that the idol has been so invisible this
season has made it so much more boring. The most interesting episode of this season was when Bob and Corinne tried that whole idol trick.
I'd just like to see them come up with some more twists. |

Do you really think the idol makes things more interesting? I think it makes the whole show about holding the idol, and not the contestents.

Yes the idol makes things way better

Borneo, Outback, and Thailand should have had idols

No it wouldn't, infact it limits the possibilities of what can happen on the show. Panama, the first season to feature a HII(which thankfully never came
into play), was also the first season to try and step beyond the stratagy of taking a jury goat to the end. If Cook Islands had not featured a HII, Yul would
have had a much harder time consolidating an alliance, and if you are familar with the Aitu voting history, this means that an unpredicatable outcome was
probably avoided because of the idol. Also, the flip of Jonathan at final 9 made things MORE predictable, not less. Suppose Micronesia had no HII. Ozzy would
still get blindsided, so would Jason. Amanda would go at f6, but who cares?
The HII actually discourages risky gameplay, as everyone wants to align with the idol holder. This leads to predictable outcomes. |

The idols work and that's why they're still on the show. Get used to it
