It was never good, but people love it because it was the first season even though it was a heaping pile of elephant dung and it didn't have any reality tv competition at the time. The four who made it to the end didn't do anything but band together while the other idiots were dumb as a box of rocks Everybody but a couple people were simply . They were duds, boring and pretty bad players with the exception of possible Richard and maybe Sue. And those 2 were shoved down our throats while other people remained almost invisible like Pagong. I don't remember anything of substance from them at all until they were about to be voted out. I remember Dirk and Greg being extremely boring and stupid and getting played bigtime but that's about it. And, it was the most predictable season by a wide margin. All in all, it was a bad season but if it wasn't for the fanatacism and excitement of being new, there wouldn't be much to remember from this season.

No...In comparison to MOST of the seasons since it's pretty boring, low budget and even irritating to watch these people "play" and basically quit or fold because they didn't "like the idea of alliances" or the idea that they shouldn't all go in to the votes blindly and hope the best player was left standing in the end...they were so naive and STUPID to throw a million dollars away to a bunch of strangers thinking they could preserve their images...Wiglesworth literally had a breakdown over involving herself with a "dirty alliance"....it was pretty ridiculous in hindsight...seriously, all those fans who think it was the best season ever...watch it again and compare it to the good dirty games we've had since...it's probably not nearly as exciting as you may remember...either that or you just don't get the game and the way it was intended to be played...as a GAME...

It obviously has the luster of being the first season, so there is something special about it. And, yes, there were a lot of idiotic people, but again, it was the first season. As for the 4 idiots banding together, it makes me wonder when this would've happened if Richard Hatch didn't get them together. Certain people brought up alliances (such as Joel), but was voted out, and even that was odd. I mean, voting out a strong guy right before the merge is the norm now, but did they really know what a merge was? While Hatch set the stage for controlling an alliance, I wonder if it would've been more interesting (though we'd probably be looking back at it and saying how even dumber these people were) without an alliance. Jenna and Colleen only decided to try something when it was too late and after they realized an alliance already existed. Maybe it's a little overrated, but I think it's a stretch to say it's the most overrated.

That was so wrong and I mean you can't even compare the 2! He even used to think and may still think Borneo was the best season. People just like it because it was their first love
