I love Cirie, but I can't even imagine how overrated Micronesia would be if she had won. The pre-merge episodes were hardly anything special and even though the situations were exciting post-merge, they still did nothing to make you give a rat's ass about half the cast. It delivered on strategy but that really doesn't matter when you don't really care about who's doing the blindsiding and who's getting blindsided. I still say that, like Outback, once people rewatch Micronesia and realize that all the excitement was based on suspense that's not gonna be there the second time around, it'll start to fall more towards the middle of rankings. But had Cirie won--people would've been so thrilled with the end result that there wouldn't really be any chance of it floating down to the middle of the pack where it deserves to be and it would be even more inflated than it already is. I'll gladly eat crow if I find it as thrilling to watch knowing the outcome of each episode, but I wasn't too impressed with the "It's a fucking stick!" episode that I absolutely loved the first time.

Posts: 140 (12/06/08 1:17 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Interesting note about Fairplay, but he went on the Howard Stern show to promote Micronesia and said that he had just been dumped on his face by Danny Bonaduce at that award show before he left for Micronesia so he had these big fake teeth in his mouth since his had been knocked out and he couldnt take his pain medication while on the show. So when he was out there he was in constant pain which is probably why he quit the show, and honestly I dont blame him. He probably wouldnt have lasted long anyways. Now onto Micronesia, I remember being a big fan while the season was airing. I thought this season was pretty good. Very suspenseful and the blindsides were great. Now looking back pre-merge was nothing special but really how many seasons are? Remember how awful Gabon was pre-merge now its getting pretty interesting. All in all though Id say it was a good season, not the best but pretty good. And with the quality of seasons like Vanuatu, Pulau, Guatemala, Cook Islands, Fiji, China, and Exile Island it was pretty exciting to finally have a season that was better than all of those. I think us as fans were just excited to finally have a good season to watch is all.

Cirie was only good in the early part of the season, as well as JFP and Mikey B. Jason was only good for 1 episode. The rest were pretty boring. It was a pretty lifeless season. Gabon has been good all season long until last episode, which was pretty boring. Micronesia's first few episodes were great (JFP episode, Cirie screwing over Yau Man, etc), but after that it was like a coma. Parvati is the most forgettable winner ever. What did she do? Cirie is entertaining when she is smiling/laughing/jovial or when she is playing vicious (getting rid of Yau Man). Other than that, boring. All-Stars 1 with 20 players would be good. Add Fairplay and Sandra, and it would be even better. Honestly, since Fairplay and Sandra weren't on All-Stars, I always thought they should have been included in Vanuatu like how Stephenie and Bobby Jon were included in Guatamala.

Pre merge had the Mikey B blindside, the Joel blindside, Tracy and her whole saga, Jonathan being injured, Fairplay quitting, Kathy quitting, Ami's t.ears, etc. Post merge had Ozzy blindside, Jason immunity idol madness, Amanda immunity idol madness, James' injury, Catalie's transformation into a complete bitch, Erik giving up the immunity idol and MOST OF ALL: Shallownage. To me almost every episode of Micronesia is memorable on it's own.

I'm not a big fan of her game, but even I don't dislike her that much until NC started to rub our face with her pathetic ow.nage over and over. We need to remember that is one of the biggest reasons why we don't like her. Plus, she was similiar to Rupert in the term of serious entitlement persona.

That's all what amazing interactions? the "fans" were played hard by the favorites. They were just an excuse to not have favorites leave early. In the end it was just a rehash of All-Stars with the 2 least deserving to be there in the first place making it to the end.

That's all Alas, the flaw in the argument. I found Micronesia severly lacking in the personality department. Maybe it is because of the setup, as a 20 person season can't focus on everyone. I ask, if you absolutly HAD to give up one or the other, would you give up personality or complex stratagy on the show?
