Er, I guess if it doesn't open it is sorta more of a wall... This one, between the two mazes, seems to open. I think yall were right about balancing, at least Kenny and Bob. (Easier to tell watching the video, not the stills.) Although I think I was right that this wasn't the intention. Are they walking on the wall for the whole maze, or just climbed up there to get a better view? Kenny and Matty are looking for something outside. Sugar and Susie are looking for something inside. (Also easier to see in video.) I don't think it's storytelling, exactly. It looks like they actually furnished all these little huts, and then hid something in them. It also looks like the women are still in the contest, it's not just purely who can run the fastest through the maze. Both of them, especially Susie I think, are capable of calming down and thinking, rather than running around like chickens. And Bob is good with slow and steady, too (as well as, he's not really all that slow).

There are five ramps up to the raised pathways . . . . . . with one ramp down at the end.

Look at the down ramp and then the entrance to the hut part of the challenge in relation to the colored gates. That's hardly equal.

Posts: 2074 (12/14/08 12:18 PM) Registered user More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Hmmm... I see the "ramps" at the beginning... if they are supposed to run on the walls... I still think I see posts (pillars?) not attached to any walls. I think maybe I can see that there are ramps or maybe hills, smooth variations in height of the walls, throughout. There must be some sort of rule about getting up? If you could just run straight across, climbing on and off the wall as needed, that would be sort of a dumb sort of maze. But if there are rules, again back to the issue of where could Probst possibly stand where he could see all the action to holler at people that they needed to go back to the start or whatever. Or maybe it's not a maze, it's an obstacle course, in which case climbing and jumping would make sense, I guess.

Posts: 1223 (12/14/08 1:33 PM) MESS member More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Yellow has a distinct advantage yeah wierd... as well as entering into the "hut" area..the opening is directly across from the yellow gate. Matty has less running time and ground to cover to get through the opening. I guess since it's such a big ass maze etc... maybe they didn't see that as an advatage? But when your dog ass tired and depleted of energy...less ground to cover is going to be an advantage.

Look at how her back is arched and how she is gritting her lip. If they have to dig under the gate, then I see a definite advantage to Kenny and Sugar. Maybe the person who gets through the first maze wins and "advantage" like the key to the gate and Bob wins the first "leg" He would have an advantage because he would be able to simply open the gate and not have to dig. Also it appears there are two gates. One between the first maze and the huts and a second gate between the huts and the stairs. (I'll have to go back and look) If my recollection is correct, it could be they have to dig under one gate and find a key for the second gate. This could be a SuCha based on its size and complexity. If it is for the car, does the car curse come into play. Never has the person who has won the car, won Survivor.

Posts: 726 (12/14/08 2:57 PM) MESS member More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I'm pretty sure that we are not being shown that first gate/wall that they are digging under in the aerial shots. See how the colors are all right next to each other in the digging shot, but the gates to exit the angled wall maze are far apart. Definitely two different sets of gates - one to crawl under and one to unlock. The first maze with the poles: You can see from this shot that the walls are all angled - so I would think that you could get up and down off the walls as needed to access the poles. There must be a color coded key on each of the poles - so they can get to the next part of the maze. Then there is the puzzle: If you look closely you can see a few gaps - like this cone is actually made up of different puzzle pieces which have to be fit together. I'm betting they collect these in their huts, as previously stated by many. I'm saying this is going to be a run off between Bob and Kenny. With Bob the challenge whore who takes it slow and steady (just like the tortoise) to win the race. He doesn't give in to Kenny's whining and keeps the necklace at TC. Kenny makes drama at TC over this. Kenny goes home. Then at F4 TC, the 'unexpected' thing is SUgar voting out Matty, who we are supposed to think she is trying to save because she gave him her idol last week. Giving us an F3 of Bob, Susie, Sugar. FTC: A Whole lot of B.S. ?? lol

Multiple paths, but only one path leading to each post where they have to reach (for keys?) then one path to take them to the off ramp... They would have to climb on the maze because there's no exit if they can't cross the walls..

Posts: 779 (12/14/08 5:09 PM) MESS member More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	since the tops of the first maze are much wider than the walls, they're definately made for walking on them. I think the angular aspect of the walls going up and down is simply to make it harder. I also think that the many exits along that maze could very well be a way of getting back to the beginning if you fall off. 1. Dig under fence 2. Run along tops of maze to a variety of poles to collect keys 3. Use keys to open locks on gate 4. Run through hut maze answering questions written on hut wall. Lift cover off your answer. if correct, collect a 3-d puzzle piece 5. Take puzzle pieces to platform at the end and assemble.
