Fantasy game-wise, I don't see how JP's going to be able to do a lot of name-calling during this challenge except at the puzzle part. He can't run along and keep track of what they're doing. PointsPointsPoints....only one more day of obsessing about points.. thank god.

I think that the Bob/Speedo clip is them walking back to the start, after Probst does the walkthough of the course. He's going to stay on the platform, at the finish line. There has to be some sort of monitor board, for the director to provide feedback to the camera people, just like with any live sporting event. So I think Probst probably has a board up there tucked away under some thatch. (The boards aren't big at all these days, and he really even needs just a cell camera-sizes views, since he's just watching, not directing.) And/or a bud in his ear. I think in the F5 jungle gym challenge in Cook Islands he just stood by the puzzle stations while they all ran about. Or, we have on occaision seen him do a bit of running, like that really blindfold maze in ?Fiji. He could start them, trot along the outside track to the gates, holler for at the first few people to get there, then trot on up to the platform for some final hollering. Plus, I think a good bit of that hollering is looped in afterward.

I mean , this is so complex, you could have one person run the course at full speed and another get lost at the starting block. That doesn't make for an exciting challenge. If they do, then Jeffy poo could do some running and hollering. Boy's gonna be winded by the time he gets to the top of the puzzle platform, though. No sign of it with less than 24 hours to go.) There is one theory that is the blue swirl of doom. Interesting that they can easily see over the walls of the maze. I had gotten the idea that they were taller. Boo, digging! Is that the first gate, right at the start line, or the one between the two mazes? Is Suzy inside of one of the huts? That's not the puzzle solving stand, is it? Does what is in front of her have colors (green, purple), or is that just an artefact of the video capture?

I don't see how JP's going to be able to do a lot of name-calling during this challenge except at the puzzle part. He can't run along and keep track of what they're doing. I just rewatched last week. In the basketball challenge, he spends the whole time right around those backboard structures, although we here plenty of name calling when the players are down at the other end of the swamp collecting the balls. It's not as far as the maze, but too far to genuinely have a good view, I think.

I'm guessing that in the shorter maze section, they have to get to those posts to collect keys to open the gates to the next maze. And then in the second maze, they have to get puzzle pieces from certain huts, then run to the end where they have to assemble the final puzzle. Something like the F5 IC in Cook Islands, but in Maze form..

I meant that in stage 1, for example, Matty blows everyone away and gets to his gate between the square maze and hut maze first. If it's in stages, what point is there in Matty busting his butt to get there first if they all have a break for tea and crumpets before they start onto stage 2? This is like a big SuCha, only there aren't any eliminations in between. 5 people start, 5 stations at the end. They must feel that there is enough room for confusion and error that no one is really going to run away with the challenge and several will be neck and neck at the end puzzle.

I think Big Ass Maze covers it. (We had sort of a lot of ball challenges this season, didn't we? Rolling the big ball, lacrosse, blindfolded pinball, elephant eggs, targeting balls over the cliff, basketball, ... And not one pygmy blowdart.)
