From this preview, Crystal, Sugar, and Bob are on the same team (yellow), and Susie, Ken, and
Matty are on the same team (red). I don't see Corinne participating, so I'm guessing that she is sent to exile. Meanwhile, the yellow team wins because
we see Crystal and Bob with clean clothes in the future challenge pics. P.S. It looks like Crystal drags Sugar.

Weird to exile someone before the challenge, but I guess if they revert yet again to a pickem Corinne would be the last. Could it be that after watching the
video, there was a choice to forgo seeing your loved one? Corinne was pretty determined last week about not bidding on anything that wouldn't help her win,
I could easily see her deciding a chance at immunity was worth not seeing her family for a couple more weeks.
Are Crystal and Kenny jumping up and down at the same time/place as the family videos? I wonder if that is actually some sort of ding-dong-the-witch-is-dead celebration, either for Randy or Corinne. |

Thanks for the YouTube LKMOSCAR
Mud family RC - Bob, Crystal (clean shirts) and Sugar (clean hair) on one group. Matty, Kenny and Susie on the other ...Corinne as noted not participating. Matty is the one talking about marriage. Dink the dog proposes? ...Guessing they don't all see family at RC, but do at IC. As noted above they might need callers, and Corinne apparently does see her loved one with the rest. VG pretty clearly showed the feast idol in the bottle. Bob's up to it again, whodathunkit? Why play Corinne now... They need her vote, or is Bob just making sure she goes?

In Randy's Ponderosa video he says "Another person is joining the jury tonight and we need a place that's got a little more room". They are
then shown leaving for the F7 TC while the sun is setting on what must be Day 33.
I'm still thinking The Ponderosa (Ngombé Lighthouse) was vacated to make room for the loved ones, so this would mean the earliest they arrive would be Day 34 and not in time for the F7 episode. I also still think Mr Potato Head by Braille is an F6 challenge where the loved ones direct the players. Corinne is not visible in that challenge. Now I'm beginning to wonder if the Mud Run RC is also an F6 challenge for loved ones reward. Corinne is not there and if it's a team pickum then Susie or Sugar would not be picked before Corinne. It also fits with "The most touching Survivor moment" comment by Probst if Matty's team loses and he does not get to accompany his new fiancé on a date to the laundry. Thoughts? |

Probst's myspace dated Dec 1 includes "This Thursday's episode is one of my favorites. Loved Ones."

So unless Kenny got gored by a rampaging elephant and had to be medi-vaced out, it just is a coincidence that he is not shown in the promos.

birdlady wrote: So far the only evidence of "Loved Ones" in this episode are the "special messages from home" on the Probst Phone. Will we actually see them this episode? The (F6) Mr Potato Head challenge (IC?) seems to require callers, presumably the loved ones. All but Corinne have been accounted for at that challenge. I think it would be highly unusual for them to show another future challenge in this week's promo, but I am suspicious about why Corinne does not participate in the Mud Run. An exile before a challenge would also be unusual, but perhaps more plausible if it were voluntary and a chance to look for the idol. |

Well, sometimes they do include a challenge from the following week in the promos, I guess if it seems visually more engaging than whatever the real challenge
is.
They have done some pretty complicated challenges blindfolded. Wasn't it China where there was some sort of maze to find a key to lower a bridge to get to another maze? And some of the players were stuck way back at the beginning when the challenge was over? The mask one could just be a toughie. (And I could definitely see Matty as the one who charges ahead, gets turned around, and is just out of luck for the rest of the challenge.) |

Mahalo for pointing out a pre challenge exile would not be unique. When I was researching the location of the Ponderosa I couldn't find ANY lodge, resort or even motel 6 south of the Libréville estuary, except the Nogobé Lighthouse. When Marcus, Charlie and Randy left the Ponderosa on Day 33 it was for them to go to base camp, which is why I think it was to make room at the Ponderosa for the loved ones. If you were pickum captain would you pick Susie or Sugar over Corinne for a physical RC, whether you liked her or not? The only way I can see that happen is if Susie and Sugar are the pickum captains. |

There are some lodges within the parks. Or
they could bring in a yacht. But yeah, there aren't the sort of touristic resouces some locations have had. Looks like there's one business class hotel
in Libreville, so I guess the families could stay there when they fly in and out.
It's possible they pick teams before they know what the challenge is, or that there's a significant not mud-running component that we don't know about. Or it could be they draw for teams and it's just a crazy coincidence. Or Crystal is the captain and she picks like a crazy lady. Or Bob is the picker, and he suspects the odd person goes to exile, and he and Corinne have already discussed that they each want to be exiled if possible. I would pick Susie over Sugar or Corinne. She's been solid in the obstacle course sorts of challenges. Plus you know she's motivated to see her family member.

A few thoughts and observations:
1. I wonder if Corinne is given something besides a trip to exile at the RC, a clue to the IC? Perhaps a look at the mask they will be assembling? Will COrinne win the IC?? 1a. Notice the look on Sugar's face during the phone video reaction shots - everyone else looks genuinely joyful - but Sugar looks more like she's sad. What could this mean? 2. Watch the slow mo of the Crystal and Kenny dance - right before they dance, you can see sugar with what looks like Kenny's Tshirt - Sugar is part of the celebration - just not jumping around like a fool. And then you see Susie look over her shoulder like she is overhearing their little party. Is it time for Susie to make a move against this threesome? 3. Bob says right out that he has a real idol. Is this misdirection? Is it possible that what Randy and Marcus tied to that bottle was a fake and that Bob is telling the truth about a real idol?? I certainly have more questions than answers, but I'm trying to look at this from all angles... |

montanagirl wrote:i had a random thought about this... IF Marcus did take the fob/mask part of the idol off before throwing the bottle away (and left the twiney strings attached to the bottle and you can see them flying through the air)... and then he hid the idol back at Kota before TC... and told Bob about it.... IF all of the happened.... Bob actually had ample opportunity to go and get it. On his second trip to exile, Bob went on his own "personal safari"... We aren't sure how long his stay at exile was, but it is safe to say it was at least 1 day. According to the map at Survivor Phoenix. Old Kota and Exile are about 5 km apart.... for someone who is in fairly decent shape... an easy enough trek. And plausible as far are returning for the next challnege, too... Kota and Exile are both closer to the challenge sites than Fang. And he got a map of the area. The old Kota camp would still have the huts and there was a lot of food around there, and Bob did have the cameraman, he wasn' going to get lost. If there was one person who could figure out where he was in relation to where he wanted to be... it would be Bob. Far fetched I know... but it's the only possibility that i could come up with IF the idol is real. |

montanagirl wrote: Some thoughts on your thoughts... 1. I think getting the opportunity to look for an idol on Exile would be reward enough. After all, she shouldn't really get a reward for not getitng picked for the reward challenge should she? As for a hint that will help in the IC, don't people usually have to win a challenge to get something as good as that? 2. since the scene cuts between sugar, crystal/kenny jumping, and suzie, they're definately editing it to make it seem like your proposed scenario. Or it could be 3 different scenes. Either way, the edit is what it is. You could very well be right on that! 3. Bob saying it's a real idol. I think this is complete misdirection. They show him holding up the idol and him saying "I have..." then a clip of him somewhere else saying "..the original idol". The real conversation could easily have been "I have another fake idol.." then the other scene says "...that i'm going to pass off as the original idol." I don't think the chain part of the necklace looks anything like the one Marcus set adrift. That one had very little beadwork along the chain, yet Bob's necklace is fully beaded along the chain part. Other questions and thoughts: 4. The VO says "For the 7 castaways still in the game..." while they show the mud challenge. It might be that they're showing a future challenge but I would think that it's a good bet the mud challenge happens with 7 people left, which means this Thursday's eppy. |

But why would Marcus tell Bob??
He was an onion, yes, but certainly low man. Unless Marcus told them all....? |

MissRabbit |

Bob was low man when Kota was all together. Once the feast happened, Marcus only had Bob and Suzie, which means Bob became his right hand man until, and IF,
there was a merge. So it kinda makes sense that Bob would be told as a backup just in case.

For some reason I thought the idol was thrown before they found out it was a shake up instead of a
merge.
Certainly could of told him on the sly once the new tribes were chosen, I guess I have, however, not been paying that close of attention this season, so could be wrong about that too |
