Well, what I like about is the emphasis they placed back on the location, and the survival aspect. Actual, physical survival was the hook that lured people
into watching the show in the first place, it is the entire concept of the show. "The game" is just a byproduct, speaking of which, brings up a good
idea. Now I know people don't like recruiting, though I personally have no problem with it. Why can't they just find 16 Greg Buis types? De emphasize
the fact that it's a TVshow, up the hardship quotiont. It's what I've been saying for years.

they placed back on the location, and the survival aspect.China was one of the most heavily location-themed editions ever and Micronesia showed numerous hardships as a result of survival (mostly on Airai). For me, Gabon has been a step backwards as everyone has been living comfortably, except for Fang squandering rice like idiots, and the only connection the land are the tedious wildlife shots. As Kenya was one of my favourite locations for the sheer hardship, it's been a massive letdown. |

This is a great season, so much better than I thought it would be!
If Kenny or Crystal win, it will be one of my faves. If not, I'll still like it for all the good TC's, but it won't be one of my faves. Part of why I like the seasons I do is because of who won it... |

A Dying Clown wrote: I haven't been to China, but it seemed to be one of the most bland locations they could of chosen. In the China preview, Jeff spoke of a sacred mountain, why did we never see it? Couldn't they have placed them in a place with a little more majesty or somewhere more iconic than an out of the way fishing village? Every season has hardships, none of them are nearly as easy as we see it on TV. That means little when the location is as dull as Micronesia. Kenya had a rugged beauty that was in tandem with its hardships. One of the more memorable scenes for me was Frank admiring that sunrise. People didn't like Kenya I think because they wern't allowed to hunt, just chalk up Africas unpopularity to humanitys bloodthirstiness I say. As for Gabon, I find the land beautiful and the wild life shots fantastic. |

I'm only giving it a one because of the hi def scenery. The entire game has been one big rout- pre merge and then only shifting once because Marcus was dumb enough to ask Crystal to vote out Kenny and then not backing off when she refused. I could care less who wins. Whoever it is cannot be considered a great winner. |

It's a stupid twist...How is it a players fault when he goes from being in a strong alliance on a great tribe to being the next voted out because of a team switch? how do you prepare for that? The game's about adapting to your surroundings, making the best of every new dynamic that comes your way, and trying to survive. For example, Vee, Rob, and Sean took advantage of John's paranoia in Marquesas to make sure that an original Rotu, Gabriel, went home before one of them. Twila and Julie bonded well enough with Sarge and Chad that they had no problem letting John K. go in Vanuatu. Brian played his "bait Blake" game. Jonathan worked hard as a provider to impress the Raro majority. Mookie cast Rocky aside and joined the Four Horsemen. Erik scrambled to get Ami cast out before him in Micronesia. See? People are put in minority positions all the time on this show, and they survive by playing the game. The people that were playing the game as tribe that worked extremely well together are now on the sidelines...If you enjoy that, good for you.Please. Kota only won three out of five challenges before the swap, one of which was extremely individualistic (Fang never had a chance with Gillian and Susie running up that hill). Fang won the other two. The "strong alliance" never proved its worth. They voted out an obvious weak link in their first Tribal Council, which is hardly a remarkable feat. Just because they were pretty, young, and white doesn't make them better players. Plus, they were entitled. Had they treated Kelly better, she might have stuck with Ace and Jacquie after the switch. Had they not effectively told Susie she was getting sixth place, she might not have flipped on Marcus either. Also note that Susie could have very easily flipped even if they had merged at 10 like normal. Would you be complaining then? Collectively, the Kota tribe made suicidal game moves, and they deserve every bit of what they've gotten. The most enjoyable seasons for me are the ones where the teams are left alone...So the last season you liked was... Palau? I'm sorry, but I'd rather see a team switched up before all its original members are Ulonged. |

It's a 9/10 for me, I can't remember the last time I really enjoyed almost every episode of a season (so far, anyway). The location is gorgeous, we
have entertaining characters and the smug assholes are getting reamed by the underdogs. What's not to love?

Not since the Sovereign Shits has such a group of disgusting and worthless human beings been so universally worshipped on this board. The only one that's
worth anything is Crystal. The rest can fuck off and die.

Melinda fought hard to stay in the game and had a wonderful spirit. Susie is a miserable mute hag who is being dragged to the end by miserable people because
she's disgusting and worthless.

I liked Melinda and all, but she realized her game potential was nil due to her being on a compleatly different wavelength than the other Casayans.

You say she's mute, but you're calling her disgusting and worthless? You just have a thing against Hispanic women? If she hasn't said anything, then where is your estimation of her coming from? She seems to be one of the nicer people out there. She even forgave Randy for cussing at her. And as for getting dragged through the game, if she had wanted to do that, she wouldn't have voted out Marcus. Flipping on him actually made her a player (as did winning an Immunity Challenge). |

At least I'm consistent with my criticisms, I have a basis on which Survivor can improve. You are a fickle viewer and you don't have any prerequisites
or standards by which to judge every season.

Because I fucking enjoy the show for what it is. I dont need to enforce my opinions on others who dont give a rats ass . Before I came here I didnt know crazy
obsessed viewers such as yourself existed. and if you can count on your fingers alone the number of days youve never watced an episode of survivor, then you
really need psycological help. <3

This is a discussion forum. There are people here who are awesome and well spoken, and well theres fanofcoils and CSC. People think differently from one another and I feel it's a right to pick someones brain. Until just recently, I was an nabashed optimist about the show. I loved it and defended it to death, and it pisses me off how it is being ruined nowadays. the hii IS NOT a legitimate part of the game. 20 person casts negate character. f3's are fucking stupid by their very nature. |
