Well, the main difference between your races and every other race on this board, is that I always get eliminated in the
first four legs of your race (last within the first three). Thus, I don't get to grace everyone with my presence. yw!
But for reals, your races seem more authentic and less silly (well kinda (except PNG)). They tend to be less luck oriented like Thinga's was (which is good although luck tasks (especially with alliances <3) are my best friends). Although, there was just something about WC1 which made it more exhilarating. Maybe it was the tasks like some people noted, but I guess I didn't notice the difference between your guys' races. Although, as I pointed out earlier (I actually didn't), this race has ungodly hours for me (and you, you west coaster) which makes it less fun cause I have to set an alarm. Also, 24 teams is too much, and makes this race seem like something you must drag yourself through (i.e. the Pokemon task was too much for me to handle time wise). I don't think that's your fault, it's just an unreally large amount of teams. ETA: Jay and Enrique stuck in limbo <333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333! |

My thoughts:
Your race: I always deem your race the big event to look for. Your tasks are always great, but writing tasks are always the bitch as well. You focus a lot on cultures and the route itself, which is a strong trait of your race. This season has been improving a lot considering a wide variety of the tasks. It's fun, and at the same time, the storyline twist makes the race more realistic and similar to the real races. Crow's race: I think it is the best race to race in. The route was not as good as yours, but the tasks are great fun. It's more like a Clubs game with a race aspect kicking in. I love it. Kat's race: Very similar to yours. Having Wan, Chung, or Christian hosting is very entertaining and super hilarious. The route is pretty awesome, especially the first season (I love the LOST leg, though I almost got eliminated). The new twists like T-Junction or Roadworks add an extra spice to the race. One thing I like about Kat's race is that he somehow finds a way to post an update in a fixed time (it's every 3 minutes I believe). And you know why Kat's race is considered better than yours? Because it causes less drama. Not that it's your fault though. Thinga's race: This race is more about luck tasks than anything. The route and the tasks are at the acceptable standard. I didn't get to stay in it long enough to tell the differences. But I remember the timing was a real pain for me. The first season has a really great cast and the story itself was very great. After the Asians are all wiped out, it was Animalliance VS everybody else showdown. You can basically write a fanfic out of it. ETA: Kitty, here's your updated storyboard.
And mine.

I could use a proxy, but then I'd have the stigma of having gone further thanks to someone else, which...well, it's not me racing...so there's no
point. That's my own view on it, anyway.

Well Kat it's your choice to use a proxy. I would be saddened though since I really like your team, not to mention that you are one of the strongest and
most competitive people I know.

One thing I like about Kat's race is that he somehow finds a way to post an update in a fixed time (it's every 3 minutes I believe)Yeah...I don't know how I ended up getting in to that routine, but...it does seem to be 3 minutes or so. It can be 2-4 depending on the tasks/people remaining though, and if I have to write check ins (which take longer for me, I suppose, because I have more interaction between Wan/Chung/Christian and the teams) it can be longer. I think 3 minutes is just about right though for an update (hence why I'll never have a race with more than 15 people, it'd just throw everything off). |

After re-reading the leg, I realized that we actually needed only 5 sets of pita stacks. I made 5 before the update when the lead teams were finished, and was
making my 6th after that update. Honestly, the 36 pitas but needing only 5 sets x 6 pitas confused the hell out of me, and being an "overachiever" I
made the extra set. Too late to do anything about it now, though.
Closing Confessional: Nick: This backpacking tour is something. You have cameras and everything! Stan: Honestly, dude. Shut up. And can you leave us alone for a while? Xophie: Yeah. I'll meet up with you in a sec. Nick: Shoot. *leaves confessional* Stan: Lose him. Xophie: Um... he's not gonna come with us to our next destination, if that's what you're implying. Stan: Good. But also, I don't wanna see him again for the race... or ever again! Xophie: You're my boss, not my slave master! Stan: Do you not realize why you're termed LAB SLAVE for this race? Xophie: Well duh. I'm your slave IN THE LAB. But I'm my own damn person outside of that! Stan: ... huh. Fair enough. Xophie: ... right. Well I hope you're feeling better now. Stan: Yeah. The medical team here in the pitstop gave me the proper fluids and medication. I am really flummoxed why pita making made me vomit like that. Xophie: Must be something with the pitas. Are you allergic to flour? Stan: No. But... I'm allergic to yeast! And those bread are leavened. Xophie: Right. Right. That's why we don't use S. cerevisiae as our model organism. *sighs heavily* Well then, we better steer you clear from future baking tasks, huh? Stan: Quite so. Xophie: Also, we're almost at the top 10. Can you believe it? Stan: I'll believe it when we get there. Xophie (solo): Ok. So my plan to get rid of Stan's painkiller addiction backfired. But maybe it's actually just because of the yeast? As for most experiments, replications are needed to test the validity of a hypothesis. So if Stan gets sick again on the next leg, then Plan to Help Stan is a failure. Stan (solo): I've never been that sick before because of my yeast allergy. Definitely, there's another factor to why I became so miserable... I bet it's that Nick person. But why do I care so much that Xophie has the hots for him? I definitely don't have feelings for that woman... or do I? But... I can definitely say that I'm not sexually attracted to her. Hmm... maybe I'm starting to realize that Xophie is like a sister that I never had? . . . Nah. Xophie (solo): Oh I'm so glad that I got to meet Nick! I was not a believer of "love at first sight," but now I am! I don't really care that Stan doesn't like him. But anyways, I'll stay in touch with Nick, maybe during, but definitely after the race. Even if Stan and I won't win this race, I'm glad that I got to meet my soulmate. |

Kinda based on this line from UD: "The Beta male tends to be smart, quiet and unconfrontational." And also less muscularly which pretty much describes EVERY man I have ever seen Remote to like. Oh, and thanks for the All Star profile thingy. I miss that race :) And you are are TERRIBLE nessa impersonators. If you're gonna type like her, at least follow her patterns. She doesn't just replace letters like a dyslexic fucktard. |
