It's not a hotseat, she can refuse to answer, but Jit is very open. I ask the questions. If you want to ask something anonymously, PM it to me and I will ask the question for you. Okay, bullshit aside, let's get going. Jit, you've been posting for several years now. Have the boards ever affected you in a positive way? (ha) Have they affected you in a negative way? Is it the sign of a weak mind if your opinions are in some way altered by a discussion here?

Yes to both. The boards are a fun little bizzaro microcosm, and there are people on here I would actually call my friends. There are also people willing to give advice and it can sometimes be like having an online shrink. That being said, the boards have infiltrated my real life, and taken up a lot of my time, to the point where I had to step away for a while. Whenever something someone says on a board makes me feel bad, I have to walk away and stop for a bit. I don't think having your opinion changed by the boards is at all the sign of a weak mind. We're all real people behind the masks, and we have valid thoughts and (sometimes) interesting things to say. A weak mind would be one that is unwilling to open itself to new ideas. Why did you give up so fast on your fantasy football team? I didn't give up, I just suck. I totally didn't know we were drafting defensive players, and it's killed me week to week.

Speaking of minds, what did you study in college? Are you now or dco you think you'll ever use it in your career? You mentioned LA-sih type things. Can you tell us what you do for a living?

I do not use my History degree at all, though I could if I wanted to go teach or go be an archaeologist or something. Which I might want to do. I have worked in film production, development, and post production. Currently I work in entertainment marketing. I ruin a lot of movies, personally.

I like being alone in the car and driving quite a bit. I sing very loudly. I also like being alone on the toilet. Best time to think. In LA, I like to bring people to the Griffith Observatory, especially on a clear day or night. In San Diego, I like taking people to Coronado Island, where I was born. In DC, I like to bring people to the Vietnam Memorial - as cliched as it sounds, that is one powerful monument. My favorite boob picture of myself is one where I am leaning against a doorway in my old apartment. Some of you may have seen it at one point or another. My other favorite is Shag's first avatar.

I'm not really sure why - I had just turned 18 and thought, gee, I can legally buy cigarettes now! Dumbest thing I ever did. I'd love to quit, and have tried several times. I do love smoking, though, so I will really have to WANT to quit, and I am just not there yet. I do make a point to smoke heavily in front of children and people with oxygen tanks, however.

The Catcher In The Rye was the first book I read that had a real effect on me. The Sirens of Titan was the first book that I felt better for having read.
