It was all a plot, he had a woman call the cops and he was fully aware of what kind of furtive jesture he could make towards a cops face in Naples. The trick
was to get arrested on charges that were sure to be dropped or bargained down. Once this was achieved it was only a matter of getting such a newsworthy event
circulating amongst the media. Unfortunately, nobody really cared.
