24. Snow White (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves)
I'll give credit where credit is due and mention that Snow White was in fact, the very first feature length animates Disney movie ever! That said, I've never liked it all that much and the title character has a lot to do with that. She's not a very interesting character and doesn't have much of a personality aside from being kind and beautiful (and better than the evil queen in every way - though really, I've always liked the evil queen better.) All Snow White does after escaping from her wicked step mother is room with the seven dwarves where she procedes to do nothing but clean and cook for them. She also proves herself to not be very bright when she takes the apple from her step mother who is dressed up as a hag (can't remember the exact details - maybe she was under a spell - or something.) Then, in the end, she is rescued by a character who is even more of a non-entity than she is and doesn't even have a name other than "Prince Charming." Yes, I know that women were portrayed differently in those days (1930's) and were more damsel in distress types, but please, I'll take Mulan or Belle any day over this wuss!



23. Cinderella (Cinderella)
Cinderella is pretty much the same character-wise as Snow White in my opinion, but she ranks higher due to the fact that I actually liked the movie when I was a little girl. I felt bad for Cinderella who was forced to do all the work for her wicked step mother/step sisters and treated like crap and I was very happy when her wishes came true and she got to marry her Prince. That said, she didn't actually DO anything to make this dream come true. Heck, all she did was cry and whine about not going to the ball and POOF! Here comes the Fairy God Mother to help her! She didn't even make her own dress! The mice and the birds did it all for her! So, like Snow White, she's a basic damsel in distress type which thankfully has become an outdated type of character.




22. Kenai (Brother Bear)
Brother Bear was I think the second to last traditional animated Disney film made before the conversion to CGI and it had both its good and bad qualities. On the one hand, the animation was beautiful and the music was amazing, but on the other hand, the plot was kind of stupid and the main character was lame. Kenai was fairly bland at the beginning of the movie while he was a person, but after he is transformed into a bear, he gets more of a personality. Unfortunately, he's really mopey and whiny and sort of acts like a dick to Koda. That said, he's a cute bear and if I remember correctly, he was pretty cute as a human too. :)
