I totally agree on wanting more ties. They're great TV; other than for time reasons I see no reason why the producers wouldn't like it. Having some
sort of challenge like firemaking between the two is perfectly fair.
Does anyone know if they still revote once there's a tie? I can't remember them showing it since Palau. |

Yep, they re-vote first to break a tie, as that always works if there is a tie when there is an odd number of cast away's (because the two with the most
votes can't vote again, and only they can be voted for) and would probably often break an even numbered tie too (because people don't want to actually
pick rocks).
Also, it's not actually always purple is it? Wasn't it only purple because that was the tribe color? It's just a colored rock no? |

From a strategic standpoint the prior votes is best if you ask me as it adds another strategic dimension to the game. You have to try harder to avoid even
those throw away votes. From a TV standpoint though its just not all that exciting. You know as soon as the tie happens who is going home. Which is almost
certainly why they got rid of it.
Anyone know the exact breakdown for Mikey's TC in terms of who voted for who? |

Quiddity wrote:As seen here, http://survivorsucks.com/topic/35372 , I would greatly prefer the producers bring it back, even if only for one season, to expand strategic play. You don't need no damn idol or Exile Island when people are flipping out for just getting a throwaway vote (see Australia/Africa). Anyone know the exact breakdown for Mikey's TC in terms of who voted for who?I know Joel was the one who made a tie by throwing a vote away (can't remember for whom), but I am pretty sure it was Alexis, Mikey, Erik, and Jason vs. Natalie, Tracy, Chet, and Kathy with Erik changing his vote in the revote. |

My question is regarding the Family Visits. Because timing is critical, (a) is one Family Member left standing at the LA airport (or the NYC airport or
wherever), meaning their Loved One just got voted off Survivor? OR (b) Do all the Family Members travel to the Survivor location, and that one Member must
stay in the crew area, or some place away from the Survivors, once their Loved One is voted off?
If (b) is the answer, I wonder if the Family Member can visit their Loved One at Ponderosa. |

I'd love to know about the family visits too. Especially if only one person wins the visit with their family, what do the others do? Sucks they have to
travel all that way and then not get shit. lol.

I remember hearing it from someone at Sucks (I think Peigh Gei? Might have been Todd, can't remember.) that the entire final 7 went to China, but James's friend did not get to go to the island as James finished in 7th place. Everyone else is just called before that the trip is cancelled, and they don't travel. |

I totally agree that it was the most fair way to break a tie. The only drawback if they still used it, is that people might wanna play safer and not rock the boat so they won't have prior votes cast against them. |

My question is a general one: They used to tell us how long an endurance challenge was lasting while it was progressing. Now they rarely do, other than a
comment like "And in 2 seconds, Crystal is out." (hands holding up the poles).

I can answer it, There were 4 votes for me, four for Mikey and Joel voted for Jason who at the revote, changed his vote for Mikey. My first thought was
"Oh Fuck now I have to humiliate myself AGAIN and attempt to make fire in front of the world. Thank God for the revote.
