i see your point, but. think about the seasons with 20 castaways: cook islands and fiji were almost ALL recruited people, and then Micronesia only let ten new people in, most of which were also recruited. so 20 castaways so far has actually lowered the chances for the people who actually apply.
This size of the cast has nothing to do with how many castaways the producers decide to recruit
