How is backstabbing somebody for a car any more despicable than backstabbing somebody for something worth a hell of a lot more, the million dollars, which happens every season? Screwing over Yau-Man earned Dreamz my respect for all eternity. That old bastard got what was coming to him <3

I thought Dreamz would definitely get Rocky and Lisi's vote for screwing over Yau Man because they were "bad guys" (like Dreamz) who should
admire his move. Stacy was also a "bad guy" who also could have thrown her vote to Dreamz, and I was surprised she didn't.
That is 3 votes for Dreamz right there, he only needs 1 more. |

Dreamz is probably the only other person from Fiji that people remember besides YM.

I agree with CSCin3D, I guess. I don't get this bourgeois sense of outrage over what Dreamz did just because it involved the exchange of a piece of
property that Yau-Man got for free anyway. It took balls on Dreamz's part to do it, but ethically, I wouldn't distinguish it from any other broken
promise in the game. It's a little unfair for people to hate on Dreamz when you know he'd be a laughingstock, like Erik was last season, had he kept
his promise and then got voted off. He was damned if he did and damned if he didn't.

My pick: Ooh, that's a good one. I hadn't even thought of that when I saw the thread title. You can justify any strategic move by Gordon's "all's fair in love and Survivor" remark...except when the producers are the ones completely altering the game. By that logic you could argue the Africa swap and Outcasts are just as bad, but hey, at least they made for entertaining television unlike the final three. The thing about the Dreamz/Yau-man car saga is that it was at least somewhat strategic. Sure, Dreamz came out looking like an asshole, but he would've looked like a complete dumbass to outright give up a shot at a million dollars over a ~$60,000 truck (even though, yeah, he really didn't have a chance). People would equate him with Ian and Colby, saying that he gave up a guaranteed way to advance in the game because of some self-imposed ethical boundary that he never would've been faulted for had he gone for it. Besides, it was a pretty bold-ass play. If I were on the jury, I probably would've voted for him to win purely because it was a way bigger move than anything Earl or Cassandra did; he put himself out there in a way like no player had ever really done before. I'm surprised there's no mention of what I would've selected, the Jenna/Christy letter situation. Jenna's certainly proven herself outside of the Amazon season, but the few times I'm able to stomach watching that episode, it brings back the absolute infuriation I felt watching it the first time. |

I think the fact that Yau-Man offered Dreamz the car in the first place showed what a prick he was. He was purposefully using someone's financial status
as a bargaining chip in the game, which I thought was worse than what Dreamz did.

I've been trying to think what would be my choice for this topic, but nothing in particular comes to mind. I'm just not the type to get outraged by
anything that happens on a silly gameshow. I guess the ugliest, most uncomfortable moments were the ones with the whiff of scandal, like what happened between
Ted and Ghandia or Richard and Sue. Neither controversy had anything to do with the game, and put people's outside world reputations on the line.

The real problem with Dre is that he did not own up to his betrayal. In any season, he would not have done well. I'm still baffled that Anthony, Rocky and
Lisi were voted out instead of Dre. If you want to break promise, tell them upfront! I think it is his sense of entitlement as if he was a hot shot made it
much, much worse than we can even imagine.

Well, Lex is the archtype of everything I hate in Survivor contestents, it's not just the hypocrisy. He is charming, yes, but has no self awareness, or
awareness of tribal politics. When he used to write for his local newspaper(or Survivor Central, sometimes), he would encourage shrewd and underhanded play,
but he never once took his own advice on the show. All he did was get several like minded people, and continually throw the equivelent of tantrums with his
awful decision making skills. He embarassed himself countless times making statements such as "it's business" and "this isn't Africa,
this is All Stars". He actually LIED to Colby because it was inconvient to tell him the truth, he booted Ethan on the thinnest of hairs without realizing
the benifit of keeping him, his gut betrayed his logic several times. I could go on for paragraphs about everything I hate about Lex.
