how does it transition from hardwood to rug and vice versa?
and how long does it take to completely do a large room of carpet? |

The only item I didn't get from my wedding registry. It still mocks me....

nobodysfool wrote: It just adjusts the height (how close its vaccuming to the floor) automatically. It does a really good job going from carpet to tile here. It says it takes about 25 minutes to do an average room. My house is pretty open, so it takes about 1-1.5 hours to clean my whole first floor. We like to turn it on before we go grocery shopping, we come back and the house is clean. |

Do you have pets? Do they attack it? Is it loud?

Its not soft, but its nowhere near as loud as a regular vacuum. Its a little louder than my coffemaker Where did you get it here in Canookia, dhc? Home outfitters. I think they sell them at any home-ish store |

Weems predicted this very thing several years ago, dhc. Do you remember that?
He said we would all have robots cleaning our houses!!! (almost 2 already? Wow! How are you feeling this time around?) |

I just don't believe they really clean that well, hell there isn't even enough room to hold much debris or dog hair or anything. Plus they have to miss
some spots.

Right now, missed spots would be an improvement. I have some bad back issues pop up recently. I have to use the dustmop as a cane to get anything even remotely
done. I'll have to check those things out.

Damnit, I clicked on this thread thinking it would be about Romber.

So wait...I've heard that thing goes in a circular motion. How does it suck up everything if this is true? Wouldn't it leave spots and dirt trails?

I'm on my second one. I really like them. It's really nice to let it go upstairs while I'm downstairs doing other things. It's great for
cleaning all the wood and tile in between regular cleaning.
The only thing I don't like is that I can't let mine on my bedroom carpet. The carpet is one of those soft fibers and when the Roomba gets through you see the wheel marks everywhere. When this one is dead, I'll get another one....just lazy that way. |

Mom HOLIO wrote:Exactly. In two months I'll have two kids under 2. Its either the Roomba or no vaccuming at all. You do have to empty it after every use, but it does seem to pick up lots of crap. My floors definitely look better (which is a function of me vaccuming far more often) |
