Gabon sucks because its on a main land and didn't have enough T&A. Ratings always go down on continents because Survivor is about a male fantasy of
being stranded on an Island with beautiful women and eliminating the other males in your way! Oh yeah... and thats worth a million dollars! Who cares about
chess board strategy. Look the American people just voted for MORE taxes. Do you idiots know that we went to war with the English for 2% taxes?

Granted, I'm the kind of person that actually kinda-sorta liked Cook Islands and Fiji, but I do think that China was better. Micronesia... Not so much. I
didn't like how all the evacuations and/or quits affected the outcome of the game. The ending string of "blindsides" were also overrated.
Outsmarting Jason and Erik is not that much of a feat.
That said, Gabon is looking up. It had been getting very boring and formulaic (literally, the same thing seemed to be happening each week), but with the departures of Ace and Marcus I'm really interested to see how it will play out. |

This week ep was the best for Gabon so far. Did you view any of it on thursday or did ya come in late. because I did not see ya there until later on. I dvr'd it and watched it when I got home. I could not hear shit in that place, plus I was too busy talking with Earl. I missed it by a couple of minutes, so I'll have to YouTube it. It was cool meeting you too. |

I'd give Gabon a medium rating right now. The pre-merge episodes up to the double boot episode were pretty boring and nothing can change that now. It has
the potential to be extremely awesome or extremely awful right now.
I actually feel like it will be extremely awesome though. I've got high hopes for Crystal and Sugar. Even Susie is bringing it now! <3 |

I'm not ready to hop on the "Gabon is great!" bandwagon just yet. Prior to this last episode, the season just never appealed to me, and I'm
not so sure one shocking blindside of the Edgic-supported winner is enough to salvage it. Granted, I may have not been giving it much of a fair shot all along,
because in retrospect, there was some really great stuff going on that I just didn't give enough credit to. But my rating of the season will depend on how
the rest of it plays out, because at this point, I just can't call it.
I will say, however, that Survivor has been impressing me as of late. China had some great editing and characters, Micronesia was a fun season to watch from a strategic perspective, and it's clear we've come a long way from that Cook Islands lull. Nothing has lived up to Pearl Islands greatness, but we've had some consistently good seasons. |
