I was concerned people who were a lot more unlikeable, like Ace, weren't ever gonna be viewed as unlikeable, because no one was as intelligent or was on the same page as I was. yep, not condescending at all.

I'd like to know how he thinks Crystal took advantage of that and he didn't. It sounds more like he thought that connection meant that Crystal was supposed to handicap her game and never target him instead of keeping that and the game separate. Going for the blatantly selfish move of booting Ken instead of compromising and booting Susie, which everyone would have been happy with, is where he fucked up. Crystal had already set up specific boundaries for any alliance between them, saying she wouldn't vote for him, Ken, or Bob. But Marcus didn't care, he was like "I'm friends with your cousin, so now you have to do what I say." If anyone tried to take advantage of it, it was Marcus.

Yeah, not surprising that he became a doctor (although not all docs are like this), the type of occupation which asks someone to be Godlike and tell you that he can "fix" you. I'm sure he basks in his ability to tell the "little people" that see him all of his worldly knowledge. I bet he secretly hates his patients when they question his "knowledge" or "compassion". He probably fires a pateint who dares look up something on WebMD, because they might be taking business away from the field of medicine. Of course, those types of pateints probably couldn't understand all the medical knowledge anyway. HATE him.

And I know quite a few people with medical degrees who aren't totally high on themselves, but I agree that there is a stereotype out there of condescending doctors who act like their patients should be honoured to be treated by them. Yes, they both might be trying to mediawhore after the show, but besides that, I don't get where that came from. Rupert had extreme ups and downs emotionally. Marcus never showed any kind of emotion. Rupert was shoved down our throats. I kept forgetting Marcus was in the game until the double boot episode. Like him or hate him, Rupert was entertaining as hell. Marcus bored the shit out of me. Rupert wanted to kill Fairplay during the show. Marcus wants to prove what a "better person" he is with hypocrisy. Rupert was talked down to by others. Marcus talked down to everyone else. Rupert never acted like he knew what he was doing out there. Marcus thinks he's an all knowing god who is never wrong. They're not even close. It's like the edgicers comparing Marcus to Yul, doesn't work. Oh, and FUCK YOU MARCUS.
