Also, while T-T was no doubt the weakest of her team, she would've still beaten, like, 13 of the other 19. Obv Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Lee, and Neji win vs
her, while there's no way in hell Kiba, Naruto, Sakura, Ino, Hinata, or Kabuto's buddies beat her. That leaves Sasuke, Shino, Shikamaru, Dosu, Kin,
Zaku, and Chouji as compelling matches, any of which she could probably win.

I think the only person she could beat is Kin, Hinata, Sakura, Ino, and Choji (that was before he was training harder). The others would all beat her

16. Maito Gai
Found him annoying at first, but he made for some of the best comic relief as this totally weird character that you can't help but smile about. He's just so out there, that he reminds you of every uncool outcast type person with good intentions and their own unique flair
He's actually a very good fighter, and I like the concept of somebody who mainly specializes in taijutsu but can compete with those using ninjutsu and other special techniques. Unlocking the gates is cool, and he's got the funniest poses and antics ever. He's just so weird, and in this case, it works although it falls flat for many other characters I've seen in other anime. His 1-sided rivalry with Kakashi is another point of humor Best pose ever? (below) |

16. Asuma Sarutobi
I was always interested in what the other Senseis (Asuma and Kurenai) were like. I thought Asuma was really cool
As a fighter though, he ended up being pretty lame. He didn't seem nearly as strong as Kakashi, and his attacks seemed pretty simple. He also got killed handily by Kakuzu, when even Shikamaru was able to beat him somewhat easily (although with the critical info that he got from Asuma's sacrifice)
Definitely a shame that he got killed off. I liked him a lot as a character despite his little airtime |

Chouji is above Temari? =/ That sucks. |

15. Dosu Kinata
When I first saw Dosu, I thought he was a total filler, and perhaps the weakest ninja of his team. I thought of him like I initially underestimated Shikamaru. To my surprise, he ended up being the strongest one on his team, and had a pretty cool Sound power too
I thought Choji might actually be secretly powerful, but he kicked Choji's butt in seconds. I really liked him now. Then he was easily killed by Gaara and turned out to be a filler villain after all |

ANBU Hidden Leaf wrote: Sasuke would lose cause he can't use Sharingan otherwise Kakashi would have stepped in. She'd definitely beat Kiba and Naruto though, her style of mass weapon spamming that can't be dodge are great against Naruto who uses Kage Bunshins and they're dispelled with one hit. She'd lose to Zaku because of Wind easily negating her techniques but she might be even to Dosu too. And eww @ Dosu being this high. |

I was going to put him even higher but then I thought I better not

14. Gaara
I thought Gaara made a great villain. He was creepy, foreign, very powerful, cruel and scary. He was like Orochimaru and had that aura of mystery around him. I didn't like him because he was so unnecessarily cold blooded at first. I was impressed with his original power though, and the animation was revolutionary in his fight scene against Rock Lee
Then he got a backstory and went from heel to hero, and then I wasn't so impressed by Gaara. His power is still awesome which allowed him to get this high, but he got beat by a lower level Akatsuki like Deidara, and I just never took to him as much as others |

13. Kabuto
I didn't think of much of Kabuto when he was 1st interested. He seemed like a nobody. Which is probably what the writer planned
Then we saw him explode onto the scene as an undercover strategist and sneak for Orochimaru. I love those kind of anime politics and wish it happened more in anime, so I was very excited to see this development
To my surprise Kabuto ended up being quite cool power wise. He was a skilled medical ninja and was able to stand toe to toe against Kakashi
My respect for Kabuto grew and grew despite me not caring for his plain look and kind of hating him for being such a weasel. He was able to stand toe to toe and even kind of beat Tsunade who actually needed help from Naruto. He also showed complexity when he ended up being surprisingly loyal to Orochimaru despite the author hinting that he was actually not Kabuto has ended up to be 1 of the most complex villains I've seen in any anime. At times, he even seems smarter and more dangerous than Orochimaru himself. He reminded me of an under the radar floater. Sure enough, he ended up surviving over Orochimaru, much like how "weaker players" in Survivor often last longer than the big alpha male. With the latest development of Kabuto in the manga, I'm still interested to see where Kabuto ends up. However, I can't put him any higher, just because there are other characters I love even more! |

Correction, Deidara was a mid-higher tier Akatsuki, whose loss was grieved by Pain as he was an instrumental part to Akatsuki.

12. Orochimaru
Orochimaru is 1 of my favorite anime villains of all time. He managed to successfully creep me out upon his introduction. He was both terrifying and powerful which is all the makings of a great villain. A cruel sociopath, Orochimaru made for a great mix of strategist, mysterious androgyny, creepy demonic serpent imagery stressing his evilness, and calm somewhat-humorous callous destroyer of peace
The new villains like Pain pale in comparison to Orochimaru. Well, he's more pale but you know what I mean. Orochimaru's got the full Phantom of the Opera soundtrack backing him up too, which you just can't beat
If you're going to be a 1 dimensional evil villain, then you need to be like Orochimaru. He's given us great fight scenes, and started a war, so he definitely goes down in my book as an awesome character. Unfortuantely for him, I like good guys better than bad guys so this is as far as she gets |

Somehow my numbers are off. So congrats to Orochimaru for making the top 10! Moving on
9. Hinata Hyuga
I tend to not like total tomboys, but I also usually don't like spineless submissive girls either. Hinata is extremely submissive, but she gets a little exception
First off Hinata interested me right away, because she was mysterious. She had unique eyes, and she noticed Naruto early on. Unlike filler-looking people like Shikamaru or Kiba, I thought she might have some significance
It ends up her story wasn't that significant after all. She was a noble and did have a special bloodline limit, but the coolness of her power was overshadowed by the even stronger Neji who had the same abilities as her
I like Hinata, because she's sweet for 1 thing. She's shy and lacks confidence and that's how I used to be so I could relate to that. Also, the thing I most liked about her is that she always liked and admire Naruto, whereas other people like Sakura treated him like crap at the start and didn't realize how awesome he really was. So I hope she gets with Naruto just for that, but I don't know. I also like her as an underdog. I was rooting for her against Neji and though she could win against him
The downside is that we haven't seen Hinata in ages, and she's never had a real break-out episode where she's been really cool. I hope all the girls will have their time to shine, but so far they are all just healers and inferior fighters to the guys |

8. Yamanaka Ino
I was going to rank Ino even higher, but I realized that was silly given that she has the same problem as all the other female ninja. She's underdeveloped and is relegated to healer and inferior fighter status
Early on Ino caught my attention, because she was by far the best looking of the girls. I liked her look more than most girls in any anime actually
With her strong personality and rivalry with Sakura I really thought she'd be a much more significant character than she's turned out to be. She seemed like the early leader and strongest ninja of her team at the start
I realized that Ino was sort of an average ninja in the Chuunin Exam when she tied to weak Sakura of all people. Their battle was basically limited to very basic techniques, and Ino's mind control technique flopped. It crushed my dreams of a very awesome kunoichi Ino
Then came the timeskip. Ino got even worse. She didn't look as good as she used to which is surprising given that she should've gotten sexier. In addition, she seems like a total Sakura inferior being a weaker healer, and probably a weaker fighter too
Where did the strong Ino go?! The girl that was Sakura's superior rival. The girl that was bossing Choji and Shikamaru around
Despite low visibility and poor development, Ino has made it this high based on looks alone
Also the manga is featuring her again so hopefully she'll be cool during the latest stuff
During the Kakuzu/Hidan fight, she was pretty useless. She didn't even heal really, so I'm not happy about that
I'm hoping her and the other girls have some really important moment and that the writer has just been saving their cool parts for later. I have faith |

7. Kurenai
Like the other girls, her visibility is low and she hasn't had any real development. Besides being Asuma's woman and the Sensei of Kiba's team, we've barely seen her. She also needed saving in the fight against Itachi once again reinforcing the "damsel in distress" mentality that the writer seems to have in the Naruto world
Kurenai is still cool. The 1st thing is that she's a femae Jounin. That instantly got my attention. She also had unusual eyes, and for awhile, I thought she had a special bloodline limit
Even better was when she actually did fight, she ended up being a genjutsu master, which is actually a pretty cool considering there are no other main characters who've been using illusions as their main form of attacks. It looked very cool even if it ended up being ineffective against Itachi

6. Rock Lee
Rock Lee is 1 of those characters who I thought was going to be a total filler. Just look at him. He's a weirdo
Then he basically beat Sasuke which was a shock. Still I had doubts about him, but now took him more seriously
His battle with Gaara was epic though. Perhaps my favorite fight in all of anime history. It was amazing from start to finish, action-wise and with everything else. The way he shocked everybody when he dropped his super heavy weights on the ground. His insane speed. His amazing backstory. The way he humiliated arrogant Gaara. It was poetic. Except he lost. I really thought he'd win at that point, so it was a good surprise
Rock Lee is 1 of the ultimate underdogs, and his ideals match my own. The message it gives young viewers is priceless, because it shows that hard work can often overcome great talent. Rock Lee was very inspirational, so despite his goofiness, this is why he's here |
