That orange pic is still one of my favorite Lost caps.

Mine too, cindi. I don't think anyone ever bought my theory, but to me it was a clear reference to Marlon Brando, who improvised his final scene in The Godfather by putting an orange in his mouth and scaring the bejeesus out of the little kid playing his grandson. Brando later played the crazy guy in Apocalypse now (a character based on Joseph Conrad's Col. Kurtz), and had a shaved head like our friend John Locke. The tie-in came full circle when Sawyer later referred to Locke as Col. Kurtz (shown in the recap episode last night).

But then again, maybe I'm the only one with a twisted mind that reels with literary and film references and looks for obscure connections while watching this show.

Man, I love those writers.
