Marcus said in the spf interview that they made his relationship with charlie into a sideshow when they could have done alot of good with it - maybe show people that a str8 male and a gay male can be best friends!?!? He said charlie is one of this best friends and he had tons of good to say about charlie. I kinda wished they showed more of their relationship. The show has missed out on fully showing/exploring two gay guy/str8 guy friendships two seasons in a row now. First todd and frosti, now charlie and marcus!

I thought it was a really good thing that they had a friendship that seemed to go beyond a simple mutual respect (like Rudy and Richard in Borneo). Usually the only gay friends a straight guy has are his girlfriend's friends. It's always refreshing to see guys who overcome the hyper-masculinity American culture can throw at them and be friends with someone who is different than they are. In fact, those kinds of unexpected relationships are what made the early Survivor seasons so great. And I need proof that Frosti is gay. Todd's always said he was straight. |

Eight years is a long time, and much has changed. There wasnt as much controversy about gay marriage and gay rights eight years ago. Also, they didnt explore it that much. on a side note--go read Marcus's interview at Reality News Online--he says things like "Dan is such a great guy...I think he's come so far and
grown so much" and other underhanded passive aggressive comments like "I think Ken is a wonderful person, and I just hope he learns to stop feeding
off of other's compassion--as a doctor, I see this a lot." and he also says things like "I don't know where the whole 'you're
arrogant' thing comes from...I honestly just try to be nice to everyone." WHAT A TOOL. He knows when he's being passive aggressive, and he simply
plays with words to make it seem like it was the editor's fault for making him look like a leader, and somewhat of a bully throughout the whole game. Once
again saying the "right" things in attempts to make himself look charming and like the golden boy. Damn, Dan was right when he said "Marcus

Honestly, man, Charlie didn't have a crush on me. We just hit it off right away. There was something about his demeanor and just the way he carried himself, that's what led me to pick him in the [first] place.Charlie's demeanor = semi-flaming fag. Ewww. No, he's still awful.. I do like how he handled being friends with Charlie but other than that, I don't see anything about him that would change my
mind. He is a petty, passive aggressive person who looks down on people and carries a holier-than-thou attitude, which is much worse than just being an

The editing was spot-on and actually, I think they
went easy on him.

Nope, he's just trying to do some damage-control to counteract how the show portrayed him.. and he's failing miserably. His comments about Dan are so condescending.
