Next episode, or whenever they merge, Matty will be in the power position.
He can grab Sugar to side with Kenny\Crystal\Susie. Or he can negotiate for Marcus's place in the Onion and side with Randy\Corinne\Charlie. What should he do? What will he do?
First, Matty should assume that KCS have a final 3 deal, so he's at best their 4th. But Ken and Crystal are ruthless gamers and Matty was never in their alliance at Fang, so they'd probably try to bump him off as soon as power was securely in their hands. That crew won't want Matty anywhere near F3. And Kenny showed his alliegance to Crystal with the Ace boot. Basically, Kenny is a nerd and has it out for the strong alpha guys, and Crystal is a negative person who has long clashed with Matty.
Matty would do better with a F4 deal with RCC. Randy was one of his original allies. Corinne and Charlie have shown their loyalty to the dearly departed Marcus. Randy could used use an ex-Fang to balance original Onion power in the alliance. Corinne will likely be out for revenge against KCS, and wouldn't think about keeping someone like Susie over him.
The one concern for Matty is that Bob would get priority over him. But Bob isn't loved by the Onion, so Matty could make Fang 3.0 boot him early as a condition os his alliance against KCS.
Alternately, Marcus could side temporarily with KCS to take out Charlie and Bob, and then flip back to Randy, Corinne, and Sugar at F7. That course, while stategically strong, has the danger of making him seem like an untrustworthy flipper. I don't think Matty is cut out to play the Rob C or JFP game. He's the type to pick a side and stick with it, and has both game and personal reasons to pick Randy's side over KCS.
Before the Ace boot, I thought there was a fair chance the Onion would go down Rotu 4 style at the hands of Matty, Kenny, Ace and Sugar. But I'm convinced, based on editing and what we know about relationships, that no team featuring Crystal and Susie will go far.
Second, on the level of who is most deserving, Matty alligning with the Onion would be very satisfying. The Onion has played an A level game but got screwed by twists that cost them Jacquie and Marcus. Everyone on Fang sucked and deserved to go down Ulong style, with the exception of Matty and Randy. Maybe Kenny too, but he made his bed with the allies he picked. Next to MB it is Matty who deserves primary credit for the Marcus boot, because his gutsy challenge win made it possible. So if any non-Onion reaps the benefit, I hope it's him.

Honestly, craig.. just because you want it to happen doesn't mean
it's a rational route for Matty. He can let go of his issues with Crystal and Ken, at least he knows them and can predict their behaviour.
