I love it how Marcus' "secret scene" is him being a d-bag to kenny...everybody hates him, even those nerds who run the heinous cbs website

The first tribe switch was not unfair to Kota. No, Kota had the numbers 8-7 so none of them should have been stuck in the minority 4-3. Kota member Sugar had the idol and was friends with Jacquie, and she gets exiled so Jacquie is a sitting duck. Then Sugar gets stuck on Fang so the losers have a continued supply of Kotas under their thumb. As for Marcus, he did have loyal allies trying to throw the challenge to protect him (unlike Michelle and Aaron), and he did have one original Fang (Randy) completely flipped into a loyal Kota. In must simil;ar twists, one of both of those would be enough to survive. Marcus was a great player, just not great enough to mindfuck Susie into a move clearly not in her interest. Yeah, he might have played better last episode, but the result probably would be the same. Crystal and Ken didn't have to much, because MB and Matty (in the challenge) did 90% of it.

Marcus a great player?
He voted for Susie at TC letting her know she's next on the pecking order He failed to reassure Susie of a final 3 pact He tried to get Crystal to vote out her closest ally expecting her to follow through He told Crystal about his Kota 6 alliance and that Susie was hated by everyone, allowing Crystal to use this info in swaying Susie GREAT PLAYER! |

Mistopheles wrote:Big x! Jeff P and Burnett have always said this is a SOCIAL game, and the twists that are thrown at the players are done to challenge their ability to adapt in different situations. Sometimes the twist benefits them, like Marcus being picked into the younger more physical "white collar" Kota group. Or the twist challenges them, like Marcus being placed with 3 original Fang members older, blue collar, less physical team. Sure it was easy for Marcus in the beginning, but when he actually had to play the game, with people outside of his normal social circle, he showed he was very very weak, and quite ignorant. Really really disappointed in Marcus, he needs a huge reality check. |

Amen to that.
When the second switch happened, Marcus really played terribly and richly deserved his boot. And to chalk it all up to Kenny "lacking human compassion" afterward is just plain stupid. Ace and Marcus are even worse than that douche Joel from last season...at least he was man enough to give credit where it was due and admitted that Cirie had outplayed him. |

gotta love Marcus getting his pornstache going at the ole Ponderosa.
I think I have never been happier to see someone voted off the island than I was when this asshole left. Too bad we have to see his sorry ass again and again and again until the season is over. I bet him and Charlie bond a lot at ponderosa. JMO... I have no idea if or when he joins Marcus at LL. |

Heliox wrote:Red x. These fanboys need to STFU about the twist being "unfair" to Marcus. He was in a position where he might have coasted to the end without facing any major obstacles, like Todd. I hate to see anybody win this game without being challenged and overcoming some adversity, and it was about time Marcus's game was put on the line where he couldn't rely on his alliance to protect him, an alliance which by his own admission was a clique in which young, athletic people had almost guaranteed safety. Susie said herself that if she voted for Marcus, it would be his own fault for not giving her a straight answer about her position in his alliance, and I agree with her. Once he was put in a position where he had to scramble and schmooze people, like Ken and Crystal have had to do, his lack of versatility was exposed. If he couldn't overcome that adversity and survive one tribal council without immunity, then he didn't deserve to win, IMO. |

After reading the posts here, it occured to me that maybe Marcus, with his white collar job, could not relate to blue collar people because he sees them as a little less than him. Perhaps he thought that, just like at work, he could boss those whose title is beneath him around. A doctor can always boss an orderly around, heck, they can boss other professionals around. He just did not know how to deal with subordinates who knew he was not in charge. I don't understand why Marcus and Bob did not keep watch on Susie 24/7 so that Kenny or Crystal could never talk to her alone. I am glad Marcus is gone, it is going to force the onions to play a little harder. Bring on the lying, the conniving, the backstabbing gameplay. You
should not be "best friends" with people you have known for 30 days. Your family whom you have known your whole life would appreciate the million
dollar prize more.
I also liked the post where someone said that the best gameplayers survived out of Fang. The whole idea of survival of the fittest (most cunning) makes me smile. Oh, and one more time, Marcus is a douche.
