He had an infection in his foot that he got during the water wrestling challenge, when a piece of coral was forced into his foot. He even mentioned it on the show. Production wanted to medevac him, but he asked if he could try to tough it out and at least get voted out at tribal council. This was confirmed by Jonathan, who was also medevaced and shared a hospital room with Chet.

Yes he's a strong competitor etc. but it was his fucking awful personality that put me off him. Mind you, his blindside last season was one of the most satisfying moments in Survivor history. Just the way to boot such an arrogant asshole - when he thinks he's in control of the game.

And someone who just "acts" like an asshole whenever people are around, is actually an asshole. Actually I think the Favorites biggest advantage was their camp. I think they had a bigger disadvantage with their reputations but the Fans weren't that good fortunately Yeah, because the Fans camp was a huuuuuge disadvantage for Koror.
