Shockingly this has been renewed for season 2.
I watched the last episode partly out of boredom, and partly because in the books, this is where Richard (infamously) kicks the little girl in the teeth. Unfortunately they wimped out and didn't put that scene in the episode. So that's probably the last episode of this show I'll be watching. Kahlan's cleavage isn't enough to keep me interested at this point.

I've actually enjoyed the series, but they could seriously do such a better job with the material. I'll watch next season, there are several things
I'm looking forward to seeing including the rogue prophet

I'm so annoyed by the fact that Kahlen is NOT, in fact, the sole remaining Confessor. I'm also annoyed that they use the word "confess" as a
verb (e.g. "If you confess him, we can use him to..."). They NEVER used the word that way in the book. Kahlen would say that she touched somebody
with her power - not that she "confessed" them...

first episode of season two was last night. The season should be nicely darker with the Keeper being the thrust of the season's legend. The dude who plays
Darken Rahl is my favorite, although I admit I'd love a group of Mord-Sith torturing me for fun.

Charisma Carpenter was underused in the 2nd season premiere, and quite badly cast. Her voice and pitch as a Mord-Sith was just wrong on every level.
