Margaretta, Amazing Race Season 1 |

It is with great sadness that I bring you news of the first loss of one of the Amazing Race family. Margaretta of "Dave and Margaretta" Season 1, has passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. She and Dave, or "Team Grandparents", were racers on the very first Amazing Race.

They were my favorite team in the first four episodes. First team to go for the FF and not reach it first, and yet they STILL got 8th place. |

Dave and Margaretta were one of a few teams in season 1 that really put the life into The Amazing Race.
Especially Margaretta, damn she was tough. RIP <3. My sympathies go out to Dave. |

RIP Margaretta.
I hope TAR slips in some kind of "in memory of" for Margaretta in the next episode. |

Gosh.. Was so sad.. I remember this yr or last year, she or Dave come in and tell us she is ok.. Now hearing she dead, was really Heartwrecked..
RIP Margaretta.. We will always remember you... I love u and dave in season 1, especially when u 2 were eliminated in Tunisa.. Good Bless you.. and RIP.. |

Favorite old team ever. Lovable and yet really tough too (attempting the FF, both of them doing the climb up the Eiffel Tower).
