Then in the evening I'll hand out candy. The good stuff. Reeses, Milky Ways, Kit Kats, Snickers. None of that crappy cheapo candy.

I'll be helping in my kid's classroom Halloween party, although it isn't called a Halloween party, it's a "Harvest Party." Cause you
know, here in the suburbs of Seattle we do SO MUCH harvesting.

I always get good candy too. I remember the sadness of getting shitty candy, and I will not be that house, damn it! For some reason my mom wouldn't let us
skip the crappy candy houses either, like the old lady would be offended or something.

Going out with some friends. It'll be the first time I've "dressed up" for Halloween since middle school.

Here in the Philippines, there is no Halloween. I'll visit my grandparents' graves this weekend.

Visiting graves is some serious spook time.
I bought candy today...NO CHOCOLATE! This isn't the Easter Bunny's house! The kids will get hard candy and chewy gooey candy. The stuff that pulls the teeth out cuz that's what Halloween is all about. I liked getting homemade popcorn balls the best when I was a kid. |

Handing out candy to kids. After 9pm however, that's it! It's just the rowdy teenagers who are looking for reasons not to go home. I will contribute to
cavities but not to deliquency.

I am an adult and therefore do not participate in fucking stupid Halloween.
Also, I'm a miserable fuck and would never do anything that could make children happy. |

But isn't Halloween the gay Christmas?

I was taught that Oscar Night is the gay Christmas. Halloween is the gay New Year.
I think. I could be wrong. I do know one thing: the evening before Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year in gay bars. It is impossible to leave a gay bar alone on that night. Faced with the prospect of Mom's dried-out turkey and Dad's drunken, drooling staring at the football games, the obnoxious nephews and nieces, the five loads required for the dishwasher and that pecan-pumpkin pie with Craisins on top that Aunt Marge always makes... most gay men are aching to put aside thoughts of the upcoming day spent with family and wish to just focus on something that requires a lot of lubricant and several towels. |

Nothing. I just don't like scary ghosts from dead people.

You can purchase all kinds of murder mysteries and non murder mystery games online or game store.
Everyone you invite participates/role plays in all kinds of themes and try to solve the murder. (1920's gangster, high society, teen dance ball, masquerade, famous detectives, vampires, etc) But your guests have to be willing to dress and act the part. Comes with invitations, rules, clues and evidence for each player, character booklets, etc. No one knows who the murderer is until the end... not even the murderer. You may have heard of How to host a murder Murder Mystery Dinner Anyway.. u can play with as little as 4 players to over 80 people depending on the game you purchase. Some are replayable if they come with alternate endings/murderers so the host can play too. Lots of fun. |
