Oh, I plan to rub it in your faces. I remember how you people were in 2004. I don't remember it being too bad in '04. I remember Gator and Head started that political board and everyone took it over there and was relatively nice, and it only lasted a couple of weeks before we all realized we were just burned out ('04 was just as long and nasty as '08 has been). '02 was the worst as far as gloating winners. That was the peak of this cultural civil war we've been in. Part of the "Hope" of Obama's campaign, for me, is that the ultrapartisanship is on its way out, that Pubs/cons will be the first to take the high road and say "ok, let's work with this guy and see what he can do", and that Obama and his disciples will be accommodating. |

2004 was when the entire forum was shut down!
and ultrapartisanship isn't on its way out at all. we're just going to get the opposite kind of ultrapartisanship now. <3 |

I honestly don't remember the board being shut down in '04. Not because of politics, anyway.

I Can't, But You CanBut most of you can vote. What can I say? The Republicans have made us less safe than before 9/11, bankrupted this economy, started an illegal war they can't - and don't intend to - finish, removed what sympathy (after 9/11) and respect the world had for the US, and have robbed US citizens of many of their basic rights. Global warming? What's that? Science and education? Investment in our future? No, thanks - we'll stick with a good 'ole hockey mom. Ignorant, and fucking proud of it, as is always the case. Although it looks like a shoo-in, it ain't over 'til Florida. And there are plenty of racists in this country who will vote against their own best interests. So please, get to your local elementary school, post office, town hall, or whatever, and cast your vote and make this a country we can all be proud of. We can get out of this mess, and life can be better than it is. David Byrne NYC |

For a change of pace, I will now share all of the CATFIGHT ELECTIONS taking place this year.
We all know about Elizabeth Dole vs Kay Hagan now, which is truly the battle royale amongst the womens
But there are other random congressional elections too! AZ-01: Ann Kirkpatrick (D) vs Sydney Ann Hay (R)
Ann is favored, but I hope the blonde whore farmbot can pull it off. CA-08: Nancy Pelosi (D) vs Dana Walsh (R) vs Cindy Sheehan (I)
CO-4: Marilyn Musgrave (R) vs Betsey Markey (D)
RIP Marilyn the homophobic cow <3 FL-18: Ileana Ros-Lehtine (R) vs Annette Taddeo (D)
Annette is more glamorous but Ileana is in a GOP favored district KS-2: Nancy Boyda (D) vs Lynn Jenkins (R)
TOSSUP! HottieLynn for the win! WV-2: Shelley Moore Capito (R) vs Anne Barth (D)
Shelley has been there since 2001 and she's favored again, even against an obvious upgrade And now my two favorite random races: Florida's 13th congressional district: Freshman Vern Buchanan (R) was certified as having won his first term by a 369-vote margin over banker Christine Jennings, but Jennings challenged the election in court. Although Buchanan was seated by the House, the House has made no final decision on the matter. Regardless, this is expected to be a competitive race in 2008, though Buchanan is far ahead of Jennings in fundraising and is favored to win by political pundits. In mid-July, Jennings announced she would run again in 2008. Further complicating matters for Jennings, former Democratic Congressional candidate Jan Schneider has filed to run as an Independent.EPIC REMATCH <3

Hopefully she can pull off a random win. Just look at her groupies:
