Notice each tribe had 1 older woman. Had Amber said no they would have gone to the next cute 20 something like Darrah or Kim P (both of whom would have been better than Amber) i really don't know who all was top 24 tho.

She was always one of my favorite Survivors to write to. And yes that is totally her in the Sarah Palin video. She once sent me her butterscotch cashew cookie recipe (the one she talked about on the show) in exchange for a copy of my story, All-Star Survivor Alaska. BTW little known trivia fact... Helen was an extra in the movie "Amistad." You can see her in the background in one of the scenes.

Well, that was a shock, especially since I asked Brian directly if I should plan on coming back tonight. I was given an emphatic "yes" and "Where's your confidence?" So I guess of the three knives in my back right now, that's the one that smarts the most. I never doubted the knife from Clay; it's been there most of the game, and I'm a little surprised at the one from Jan. But maybe that's a character flaw I have, that I do trust people when they tell me something to my face. I guess I was outplayed. I planned on staying longer, and maybe I was gotten rid of because I'm too much of a threat to win. That's the way I'm going to take it. So, the three of you that are left: break a leg! And I mean it.

And that's one of the things I have always loved about Helen (and most of the older casts in general). She never aspired to be part of a "Survivor alumnus community." She just did the show, got her fame, and moved on.
