Hangar One vodka is absolutely delicious. I <3 the raspberry one. My gae friends introduced me to it so you KNOW it's good!

parts per quadrillion. Every spring the company harvests tonnes of glacial ice gathered off Newfoundland's east coast, from the region's famous
Iceberg Alley, and processes the bounty at their facility in St John's.

Absolut is absolutely the best grain based vodka.

Iceberg must be pretty pricey.

I don't know if anyone recommended KAI vodka, but everyone should try it. It is a Vietnamese rice based vodka and has a spicy vanilla hint to it. The guy
at my local liquor store suggested it when I told him I was collecting great vodkas for a tasting holiday party.
I also tried Level vodka last week based on a recommendation and loved loved loved it. Thanks! |

I prefer Svedka and Rubinoff. Has anyone ever had Mr. Boston before?

Out of the major brands (in order)
1. Ketel One 2. Stoli 3. Grey Goose depending on how you're using it, and 4. Level Everything else lower priced than those aren't worth your time, and anything that isn't those that are higher priced isn't worth your time either. ywia |

I love Grey Goose.
I agree with everyone who said it's so smooth. The bottle is also pretty and I like the cork thingamajig. A girlfriend of mine got me a bottle of Le Citron GG. Hope it's good. I'm saving it for when I need to get really toasted. |

V...if you like flavored vodkas, Stoli Blueberry is fabulous with Newman's lemonade, chilled martini style with floating blueberries, same way for Absolut
Kurant with Cranberry juice and floating raspberries...of course they are both great chiled on their own too.
Stoli Vanilla isn't too shabby on it's own, or martini style with clear creme de cacao, and Godiva white chocolate liquer...swirl some chocolate in the chilled martini glass and it's dessert with a great buzz... |

GG is first one my list usually, but I liked Level more than I thought I would. I actually had a delicious pear martini yesterday made from GG pear and it was
so good!!
Stoli would be way lower on my list and Belve would be up pretty high. Ketel is okay, but certainly not 1 for me. Kai is really good and very different. Ciroc is actually a good vodka. There's a few from this thread that I am going to order and try on the night of the party. The more interesting ones, like the vanilla and cracked pepper vodka. Sounds so good. I'm thinking of adding a few really good martini recipes to the tasting menu. Not sure if it will mess with the purity of the tasting though. Off-topic, but the guy also convinced me to get a peach beer that he says I'm going to get addicted to. I have to grab the bottle from the garage because I forgot the name that fast. |

EiE, I forgot you were a 'tender! or mixologist:p
I should get some great recipes from you!! Can you PM your top three? eta: It's funny that you mentioned Absolut because even though I hate the regular version, I love some of their flavors. Mandarin is their latest that I've tried. I'm a fan.

Veelicious wrote: Sure...let me know what flavors you like, I can come up with a signature V martini if you like. You can do some cool things with olive stuffing too if you like the traditional style martinis but with a bit of flavor. |

V, I just had my first Pear Martini at Wolfgang Puck's Restaurant in AC a couple weeks ago.
I wanted something different and decided to order it but was sorry (the creature of habit that I am) as soon as I placed the order. When I tried it, I loved it. It really was refreshing. |
