ya know - the Rock is pretty sexy. If he would just not talk, I would totally hit that.

He can talk?

Eeeewww, I think The Rock would be a horrible choice. I pictured Quinn as really tall and muscular, but lean muscular, not the steroid looking beefy muscle-heads. I can't think of any hot really muscular
bald white guys that would be a good casting choice.
I agree with Simone in that I pictured Quinn somewhat along the lines of The Mummy guy as I was reading the books. |

I pictured him as Alexander Skarsgard in Generation Kill, but, well, could, no, no twins.

I pictured Quinn as a bald Eric Bana but younger. He's tall and was pretty fit in the movie 'Troy' but not muscle bound like a wrestler. I think
anyone that is big like the 'Rock' would be a bad choice.

a bald Eric BanaSorry, the only thing Eric Bana has got going for him is that beautiful thick brown hair. Without it he's just another beady-eyed freak. In Star Trek he was hideous. |

Tim O. already has a new show in the works, he's skinny as a rail anyway.
Quinn is a cage fighting weretiger. Read all of the descriptions in the books of him again. Maybe somebody more close will come to mind. "He was very tall and very wide with a proud nose and big white teeth. He had full lips and an olive complexion" "He moved quietly for such a large man"

Simone wrote: Out of all the pics posted so far, this one is closest to how I pictured Quinn. He needs to be somewhat ethnic/exotic looking - for some reason I was thinking like Persian while reading the books. While reading I'd think "Mr. Clean" or like a genie who came out of a lamp might look, especially in I think it was his first appearance when she describes him wearing like purple genie-ish pants or something. The only thing about the guy in the picture is that Quinn would have a more gorgeous face and be a little bulkier (but not too bulky - I agree with everyone here that he sounds more lean gigantic than steroid bodybuilder gigantic). |

Quinn isn't supposed to be that lean. I don't see many people agreeing with you on that. He's described as very muscular.
I wouldn't be so particular about the look. A lot of that interpretation is in your head, it's just how you read the book. The book merely says he's a huge, ripped, bald guy with purple eyes and olive-y skin. Our imaginations kinda fill in the blanks. That could be lots of things, and frankly, they're not going to find a purple-eyed olive-skinned giant. |

I picture Quinn more on the lean side too , with very defined muscles, but not muscle bound. I guess I picture him like that because he's so very tall and
cat-like. It's mentioned numerous times how feline his movements are and I just can't picture someone overly bulky (wrestler, body builder bulky) being
a such a smooth, stealth, mover.

Yeah, but supernatural or not, I, personally, still don't see Quinn as some big, bulky lug head with no neck and arms that he can't put down all of the
way. That's just my vision of him based on the descriptions in the books, muscular and cat-like, even in his human form.
Obviously, we're all free to have our own vision until they cast the part and the character's image becomes intrinsically linked forever with whomever winds up on the show. |

Pearl Interrupted wrote:I agree. I always pictured him as really tall and really lean muscular/defined and flexible/agile. I never pictured him roided out, because people like that are usually so big they can barely move. I agree with Simone & Sun Surfer, that when I was reading the books, I pictured him more like The Mummy guy. Quinn is going to be a tough one to cast, IMO, and I can't wait to see what Alan Ball does with that role. |

Well, I've only just started the book in which Quinn plays a large part (book 6....dunno the name off the top of my head) and I also picture him as a lean
muscular type. I definitely don't get a 'roid head image from the description. Unfortunately, I also don't particularly like the character. I
suppose I'll reserve judgement until I finish the book, but so far, I'm just not loving him. I'm not sure I really like them as a couple.
Now Sookie with amnesiac Eric on the other hand, I am definitely digging that! |

Since Quinn is a weretiger, he would naturally move with grace regardless of his size, which according to the book..is HUGE. Not lean, BIG. Wide wide wide
shoulders, huge hands..etc. MIght wanna read how Sookie describes him walking into a room.

Fine. Your Quinn can be a roid-burger. But mine is going to be built like Rudy Reyes, but with another 7 or 8 inches of height on him.

He doesn't have to be a "roid burger" to be muscular. And Rudy would make a much better Alcide.
