That still doesn't prove it was bad not to pick Bob. Of Matty, Kenny, and Crystal (people who could have chosen Bob), would any of them gone further in the game as a result? We'll never know for sure, but I'd tend to think not. Maybe Crystal might have lasted one more round. And maybe GC would have been booted rather than quitting.

Even Bob wouldn't have gone as far if he had been picked for Fang. If he was recognized as a strong player at the time of the pick, he should have been booted sooner by the origFang majority. Good for Jacquie and Ace, I guess. Even if his physical ability wasn't apparent at that time, it probably would have been noticed sooner on a team with Crystal, Keny, GC, and Sugar, again, getting him booted sooner.

Survivor is not a team game. You sometimes compete in teams, you do need to work with people. But if you're on a very strong tribe pre-merge, and win almost every single challenge, you know what you win? Chopped liver.
