I wouldn't be surprised if they want us to just forget about Dan, since Marcus is the big name and we're supposed to think Matty is great, according to Jeff. The best way for them to get the results they want is to pretend Dan isn't there up to the time he leaves

I dunno, I thought the editors showed some subtlety with Jacque's boot. I think they played fair and gave us every bit of relevant information, without beating us over the head, and we fell for it because we are used to unsubtlety. I've also decided Jeff's comments are useless, he's describing the whole season through a lens only he can see.

They had to show Randy having doubts, to make a crisis/resolution with his challenge performance.

I think Jeff also wants to get attention, and he'll say what he needs to say to get attention. He's probably also throwing some comments out there just to see if people will believe him. The ranting he did about Bob was what jumped out at me the most, because nothing that we have seen onscreen would indicate that (even though I do like Bob) choosing him close to the end would be such a devastating decision or one they would dearly pay for. He's a nice guy, not on the inner circle of his tribe, not very good at the immunity challenge they had right before the swap.

I think the only reason they were subtle about Jacquie is they had nothing to foreshadow her boot. She was in a good position, then she was targeted and booted out of nowhere because of a swap. It's similar to what happened to Brooke in Guatemala.

I think when Dan goes, it's going to be a minor event and he'll just be seen as being too strong to keep around. They had an opportunity to set up doubts, and they didn't. Instead they had some random qoute about him wishing Matty were on the team which no one on Kota was shown reacting to.

There's no real reason for Kota to throw the challenge. The Onions only cared about Jacquie, yet they didn't throw the challenge to save her. Kelly/Ace/Sugar leaving wouldn't matter to them. OldFang also isn't very likely to team up at the merge so that's one less thing for the Onions to worry about.

I think there's a good chance Kota could lose an immunity challenge, but I don't think they will be throwing any.
