I actually like Dan more than the other men that are not Bob so it'd be a pyrrhic victory for me.

Even though I would rather Susie go then Dan it would be a bittersweet moment. Dan is my favorite but Susie is my 2nd favorite ( was 3rd but Jackie is gone ).
For me I would LOVE to see the eliminations go like this
Michelle Gillian Paloma Jackie ............... GC Ken Kelly Ace Randy Sugar Crystal Corrine Matty Charlie Dan-Susie-Marcus-Bob Final 4 ( I wouldn't care who would win ) |

Its the "premiere episode pre-exile dan scenes" that really make me wonder about him not going far. Obviously going to exile means guaranteed
airtime, but all the airtime he recieved prior to that wasnt neccessary for someone taht doesnt go far. For example, the confessional about his management
technique and wanting to be a silent leader! Then in episode 3 the camera focuses in on him during the randy/gc argument, which was followed by a dan
confessional. Then thursday night, he got barely any airtime. Natalie got pretty much no airtime up until her "preimiere episode" and look how far
she went. I think the amount of airtime he has recieved is enough for people to think about him when they think of survivor, therby keeping him from ever
falling under the radar, which in turn results in him continuing to have a solid fanbase and with a spike in airtime could lead to people rooting for him to
win.

My favorite part was when Susie (who was trying to fit in) mentioned again, after Randy and Corinne had already started talking about something else, that Crystal didn't move. I hope Crystal sees her reward for picking Susie. I don't know who will go first of Susie and Dan. They may see Dan as a big threat, but the show played up Marcus being undecided between getting rid of Randy or Susie, with no mention of Dan. There's almost never any buildup of any kind for Dan, which makes me think he may be the merge boot, or the first juror.

I just got through rewatching, and the Dan thing that jumped out at me is the very first thing he says when they all get to the Kota campsite. "Gosh, this
would be perfect if my good friend and close personal ally Matty were here!" No reaction from Marcus and Charlie, but I can't believe they didn't
make note of it. And no real need to show it, unless the editors want to remind us Dan is dumb.

birdlady wrote:These editors are about as subtle as Ace, so I think if they wanted to play that up, they would have had a confessional from someone else on the tribe, or some type of wacky music, or had Marcus mention this in his boot options instead of him just focusing on Randy and Susie. I wouldn't be surprised if they want us to just forget about Dan, since Marcus is the big name and we're supposed to think Matty is great, according to Jeff. The best way for them to get the results they want is to pretend Dan isn't there up to the time he leaves. |

I think they played fair and gave us every bit of relevant information, without beating us over the head, and we fell for it because we are used to unsubtlety. I've also decided Jeff's comments are useless, he's describing the whole season through a lens only he can see. They had to show Randy having doubts, to make a crisis/resolution with his challenge performance. |

birdlady wrote: I don't think I necessarily agree with this. Looking at Probst's reflexion of the contestants after the game was over has given us some spot-on insights on how this game is unfolding. Here are direct quotes about each of the four people already voted off that Probst gave right after filming was completed: Michelle - "I actually thought that Michelle had a good solid energy coming into the game. But she's very small and very young. I think her life experience is the big question mark. What will she do when the going gets tough?'' (Pretty much telling us his pre-game impressions were off. Alluding to her negative attitude during the game.)
Gillian - "Does she know when enough is enough? You can only hear someone say 'I'm from South Africa' so many times before you want to say, 'Why don't you go back to South Africa!''' (Annoying behavior during the game.)
Paloma - "Paloma's going to have to pick the right alliance. Who you decide to team up with early on has such an impact on how you do in the game, because if you pick the wrong people, it can be hard to get out from under that.'' (He also talks about how she will behave when she gets hungry. This part of her was shown on the CBS insider clips).
Jacquie - ''I think Jacque will be a bit of a dark horse. I don't think she'll be a leader. I think she'll use her looks and her charm to get in with the right guy and hope that she can ride with that guy as far as she can…I think she's a legitimate threat at the challenges. She's pretty fit.'' (She rode Marcus's coat-tails until she was swapped. She was seen as a physical threat to Fang. Spot-on.) So, I think Jeff is giving us all the clues. So, in the future I would expect that: 1. "Dan is his own worst enemy" and does something to get himself booted early. Jeff says that he as "like a cocker spaniel. Goofy, but to the point of annoying sometimes." 2. "Ace is like a James Bond villian that you hope will die a horrible death in the end." (Ace goes to the end?) 3. "Matty will be a fan favorite" and is "one of the most likeable, genuine guys.." (Matty vs. Ace? Good vs. Evil?) 4. "Will Charlie have a mind of his own or will he tag along with someone as far as it can take him?" (Charlie rides Marcus's coat-tails pretty far, but not to the end.) 5. "Marcus is a serious threat to win this game." (Marcus gets far and very well may be our winner.) 6. Negative comments about Crystal (loud mouth) and GC (in over his head, full of fear and false confidence). 7. Middle-of-the-road comments about Corinne, Randy, Susie, Kelly. (Mostly about their personalities). Jury members? Mid-gamers? 8. "Sugar plays with her heart and her emotions...Can she handle it?...Sugar cries a lot. (These were post-game comments made that he repeated again in his blog. And, we have seen this play out.) 9. Ken - "One of my favorite players in a long time...Ken is convinced that his gaming experience can get him far." Anyway, I think Probst has been giving away a lot of legit info right from the start.

So Jacque knew about Jessica's idol but was that an assumption or did Ace and Jessica tell her before? From what it sounds like, Marcus and Charlie was
also aligned with Ace and Jessica but weren't that trusted.
So with all this being left out of the episode, does it mean it doesn't play a part later? |

Who Sugar told... | ||

Jacquie, in her post-show interviews this week, revealed that Sugar told her she had the Idol. And presumably, Jacquie told the other
onions.
She also didn't seem that thick with Corrine. And she said she wanted to marry Marcus, but they could never get any time together away from the tribe and they didn't want anyone to know....And she referred to it as "The Onion Alliance" and "the other Onions". This is in an audio interview on SFever...So she reads Sucks! *waves* to Jacquie!

If he said what you said he said, then strategically thats a stupid thing for him to say, but by just saying he wishes matty was here he could cover it up by telling them that matty jsut has a great personality and thats why he wishes he was there! Why put quotes around "Gosh, this would be perfect if my good friend and close personal ally Matty were here!" when its not even close to what he said? lol. ETA: he said: if matty where here, it would be like the perfect tribe.
