Watch what Jacquie had to say after she was voted out of the game
"I just got voted out of Survivor, and I'm so upset. I kinda saw it coming, the new tribe I was in probably made the smartest decision they could have. I had so many alliances and I was trying to convince them I didn't have anything. I had an alliance with Sugar and Ace and we would have taken out everybody when she joined the tribe, then when we merged with Kota I had an even tighter alliance over there. If I'd just stayed in one more round I feel like I could have made it all the way in this game. They were probably smart in saving their own butts."
(cut)
"I hope Sugar and Ace can make it far. I think they're by far two of the coolest people I've met on the show. I love them, I think they're awesome. However, I don't think they stand a chance with this tribe. I think this tribe is so idiotic. Every move they made, they're digging themselves in a bigger hole. I actually could not stand the last 2 days I was at this tribe because everyone was so lazy and so mopey and horrible. They were horrible at teamwork and they don't have tight friendships or alliances. I hated it. All I wanted to do was get back to Kota. I was trying to convince them I didn't have any friends over there, even though during the entire game today all I was trying to do was say hi to them."
(cut)
"I do hope somehow Sugar and Ace will figure out some way that the immunity idol will save them. They're gonna have to be really smart and strategic about it though because they're gonna have major targets on their backs, everyone knows they're super-close."
(cut)
"I just hope everyone goes far, the real, genuine, really cool people in this game I think are Charlie, Marcus, Ace, and Sugar, so I hope they go really far. I'll be waiting for when they get kicked off."
Tribal Council Voting
Watch as the new Fang members cast their votes
Matty ("Jackie"): Jacquie, this wasn't my decision. Sorry I had to do this, but...good luck.
Kelly ("Jackie" with a smiley face): Sorry.
Crystal ("Jackie"): It was great knowing you, but ya gotta go.
Ken ("Jacky"): Jacquie, I'm really sorry, but it's so hard to trust anyone right now, especially if they just came to our tribe. I wish I got to know you a lot sooner.
Ace (Kelly): You voted for me last time. There's nothing like returning the favor.
GC ("Jackie"): My vote is for Jackie. I don't really want to cast this vote, but unfortunately this is how my girl wants to vote tonight. I think you're a strong player and it would have been smarter to keep you, but unfortunately this is how it is.
Jacquie ("Kelli"): (no comment)
Jacquie's Secret Scene
Before the tribe switch, Ace and Jacquie form an alliance on a secret canoe ride
Jacquie: Are we getting in? (Ace says yes and they start rowing) What you have going on is you're the leader, but you're not one of those obvious, obnoxious leaders, you know what I mean? I don't think you've had an argument at all. You totally don't.
Ace: I hope not.
Jacquie (solo): Ace brought me aside this morning. I'm trying to be really warm to him, be really close to him, but I don't want to be TOO warm to him. I need that alliance. I want him to trust me.
Jacquie: What I want is a core alliance.
Ace: Core 5.
Jacquie: A core couple of people. (flirty tone of voice) If anything happens, just tell me, and I'll (couldn't hear this part).
Ace: I'll completely go core with you.
Jacquie: That's you and me. If you rope anyone else...
Ace: Marcus is there, but Marcus and Charlie are...
Jacquie: Marcus and Charlie are super-tight.
Jacquie (solo): I'm kinda hesitant of just having 1 alliance. I want another one just to fall back on in case I'm on the outskirts. I just decided I'm gonna keep it to myself because I could always use it in the end.
Jacquie: I'm excited. That all makes me feel so much better.
Ace: Yeah, me too.
Jacquie: I'm like a really bad liar, so...my worst favorite thing are people that are fake.
Ace: I agree completely. (?)
Jacquie the Day After
Jacquie reflects on her most memorable moments in the game and what would have happened if she was able to stay in longer
"Being on two different tribes was honestly night and day. I am so thankful I had the experience of being on Kota before coming to Fang, because I love Survivor, but if I was on Fang, I don't know if I would have the same memory. I don't know if I would be as appreciative to have done this."
(cut)
"Kota, everyone was like really really cool to be around, everyone was strategizing the whole time, they were playing a very intelligent game, but Fang, it seemed like from day 1 everyone was trying to backstab the other person. There was no teamwork, everyone was very negative. I found myself commiserating with everyone in the hut all day long. It was bad."
(cut)
"At Kota I think we all just became good friends. We all motivated each other. In that tribe I think I was more like a cheerleader. I didn't want to be a leader of the tribe, I didn't want a target on my back or anything. I tried to just mesh and be a cheerleader. At Fang there was nothing I could do to get any positive energy at that tribe whatsoever."
(cut)
"As soon as I walked into Fang I knew they were not gonna trust me, they didn't want to be friends with me, they were very distant with me and Ace. They just clung onto Kelly. I didn't feel connected to them at all. They were so skeptical of us it really brought all of our energies really down. It wasn't fun whatsoever."
(cut)
"I didn't feel like I could be myslef in the game at all. I was really trying to play a card that I was innocent and maybe a little shyer. I feel like people gravitate to them, they trust them a little bit more and they confide in them. I used the shy card and the naive card a little bit...a lot in the beginning. It was difficult to not let your true personality shine. Usually I'm overly enthusastic and a leader in everything I do. I've been a captain in a variety of clubs and sports and all that. I really had to bite my tongue in every conversation, I didn't want to stand out, I wanted to be incognito the whole game. When they did the new tribal picks and ranked everybody, I was really upset I was ranked the top girl, because I wanted to mesh and I didn't want them to think I was the strongest girl on the tribe, basically."
(cut)
"I'm extremely proud. I think I did a really good job. I felt I had really strong alliances. I created a plan I was hoping to get into the final 2 or final 3 of the game. I thought it was going to work, but I felt like I got handed really bad luck when we changed the tribes. Unfortunately having alliances hurt me in the game, whereas someone like Kelly, having no alliances helped her."
(cut)
"I think the way I played the game and tried to be innocent and trustworthy and kind of laid back would have worked perfectly. I could have possibly won the game with that, because I wasn't a threat. I was a girl, much weaker than the guys, but I helped around camp, and I wasn't, I don't think, annoying anybody. I wasn't creating any enemies in the game, but I was basically getting as many alliances as I could."
(cut)
"Being in Survivor it actually did make me trust less. Being from the Midwest I think I trusted everybody. I'm a little naive in that part. I never felt like I was crossed by anybody, severely, but the way people backstabbed each other made me question their character and what I saw. I always thought I had a good read of people. The people who backstabbed each other really shocked me and it will make me trust people less in the future."
(cut)
"I think the moment I actually had to go to the Fang tribe and we were in the competition where we were in the boats and paddling and the only person who could catch any of their people was myself, and I was paddling out and fighting for the ball against Marcus. The fact that I gave my all for that team to win and I was still voted out shows how much I wanted to stay in the game and how much I wanted to win it."
Matty in Earth's Last Eden
Matty is in awe of the untouched land he finds himself immersed in
"There's not human footprints for miles. You can tell there's been no human action in this area ever. It's amazing. At night you can hear the apes and gorillas communicating back and forth. You can hear trees falling when elephants are knocking them over. There's Gabon vipers that are deadly, and black mambas. It's pretty raw out here. Definitely not LA. I feel pretty honored I get to spend time here. Even though it has been the hardest time of my life, hands down, every day I feel pretty honored and accomplished every day I get through it and know I got to experience this place. It's pretty outstanding."
Kelly Before Tribal Council
After being cast as an outsider on her old Kota Tribe, Kelly decides to go against her old members Ace and Jacquie and align with the new Fang
"So what's happening is Jacquie and Ace think I'm the one going because first Matty told Ace that it's either Kelly or Jacquie, and then Matty said OK, Kelly's next, just to screw him up a little bit. It's funny because Jacquie was talking to me yesterday trying to get me to manipulate some of the other Fang members such as Crystal, Ken...G Sizzle, and Matty. They think I'm going, so Ace and Jacquie are gonna vote for me, while the rest of us, Matty, Crystal, Ken, and GC, we're voting for Jacquie."
(cut)
"It definitely worries me a little bit, because do I really trust Matty and all them, but Crystal took me in behind the scenes and she's like why should I trust you, why should I bring you into the Fang tribe, what if you screw us over after the merge. I was like they already screwed me over so why would I go back to the old Kota members. So I'm staying with Fang."
Randy's Snoring Problem
Randy becomes aware of his snoring problem while trying to sleep at his new camp
"Last night was our first night at Kota tribe and I maybe ,maybe slept 2 hours. I do have a snoring problem and I was aware, it's no problem for me, I don't hear myself, but I was very aware I do snore and my first night here I did not want to keep everybody up snoring. I maybe got 2 hours, I'm tired, I'm running on empty, I'm sore, and today I have to go fishing and catch some fish. There's nothing fun about it. I'm gonna make myself do it. I think, well I know cause I've been 20 and I've been 49. Pulled muscles heal faster when you're 20, you can survive on 1 or 2 hours much easier when you're 20. It's tough being 49. But again, I'm not complaining, I'm thrilled to be here. No one as old as me has ever won this game. I'm gonna give it my best shot. It's day 11, we're almost a third of the way through, and if I don't give it everything I'll never forgive myself. This is my one shot to play and I'm here to win."
Susie's New Camp
Susie finds herself more at home and well-fed with the new Kota Tribe
"When I walked into camp yesterday at Kota, it was way different from the Fang camp because Fang is right close to the forest and these guys are on the Savannah. What was different about it was I did think to myself that there are only 3 of us and how tight are these guys. I did think that to myself how tight are these guys and are they just gonna be plucking us off one by one if we lose tomorrow."
(cut)
"It was so nice to know they care so much about each other. That's the difference between the Kota tribe and the Fang tribe. The Fang tribe was more conflict. It felt really good walking in here and knowing they were more attentive, they were more willing to listen, to talk more openly about suggestions and that sort of thing. It was a little uncomfortable sleeping at night because we don't have blankets."
(cut)
"At Fang we just had water and rice. We were starving over there. Here at Kota having rice and beans, even fish, crawfish. It feels good that your body's having that nourishment. It makes a huge difference."
Ken the Flirt
Ken admits that he flirts with all of the younger girls in the game, and gives some insight on what qualities he likes in a woman
"Yeah, I've been spending a lot of time with Kelly. She's around my age, she's hot, we have a lot in common, and yeah, like I said when I picked her, I wanted to get to know her, she wants to get to know me, about our lives, and yeah. It's about time two hot girls from Kota came to Fang just to live here. Yeah."
(cut)
"Yeah. I would say I'm flirting with Kelly. I'm flirting with all the girls out here, except for the ones who are too old for me, but on a regular basis, I do flirt with girls for the fun of it. You're out here, you gotta flirt with somebody for laughs and whatever. They're not gonna take it too personally. I'm pretty sure Kelly knows I'm not hitting on her or anything. It's fine. Just as a friendly flirt or whatever."
(cut)
"For me, looks don't matter too much. I'd rather go with personality. Maybe personality an 8, and looks maybe a 6 or a 7 would do it for me."
(cut)
"I think she knows that. I know she knows I know she has a boyfriend, so that's out of touch for me. I totally respect. It's not like what happens in Africa stays in Africa. No."
Bob on Losing the Previous Two Challenges
"We don't like losing. We don't like losing two in a row. I'm so bummed I missed that puzzle yesterday, the challenge, because it all rested on me. There's been some discussion that we as a tribe made a bad decision. I would have preferred to have done the slide, nobody stepped forward to take the challenge of being the one person out to take the hit. I volunteered to do it. There's a lot of hindsight there. I think Marcus in hindsight is thinking, 'Damn, I should have done it,' or Charlie should have done it. In hindsight, they obviously should have. And also, I got a good night's sleep last night, but I've been running on 2 and 4 hours sleep a night. I didn't realize how the fatigue was setting in."
Dan on his Position at Kota
Dan explains his new found comfort in being on the new Kota Tribe
"Being on Kota, being a part of the Kota tribe, it's like a whole different personality. It's great. I have the utmost confidence we're going to win a whole bunch of challenges. The 3 drains, ie, Crystal, Kenny, and GC, are now on the other team, and I don't have to deal with them. That's kinda nice. On the flip side, those 3 were on the pecking order to go, so it was kinda nice having a sense of security on the other tribe. Nevertheless, it's great to feel like you fit in."
(cut)
"It could be said, one viewpoint, is yes, things look up for me, but the double-edged sword to that is these guys seem to place a whole lot on athletics. I'm an athletic person but so is everyone else on this tribe. It's gonna be competitive but as far as comfort level and day-to-day not losing my lid, yeah, it's great."
Corinne Loves Her New Tribe
After the Tribe Switch, Corinne is happy to have newcomers Randy, Susie and Dan
"I really enjoy getting to know the 3 new Fang members because let's face it, you run out of conversation with people after living with them for 11 days, 10 days, whatever. It was nice to get fresh faces, fresh perspective, some new stories. I find I have to be careful because my personality is quite abrasive and can be miscontrued if I'm not careful about I've gotta feed it in doses. I think when most people get to know me they think I'm pretty likable and funny or whatever. I didn't want to overwhelm them so I was trying to tone it down. I also didn't want to offend the older woman, Susie. I curse a lot and tell a lot of vulgar stories, so I'm going to try to ease into that, because I just don't want to offend her or anything."
(cut)
"I think Randy's great. I think Randy is the biggest surprise to me so far in the game. He is really witty and funny and I totally love that. He just says what's on his mind, which I respect. He's a worker. He's definitely got skills we don't have whereas fishing and some other things we can really use. I'm very happy to have that."
Kota After the Immunity Challenge
Randy and Dan lead the new Kota in a Fang bashing session after they defeated them in the immunity challenge
Randy: Guys, we are not evenly matched.
Dan: No, no.
Randy: They are defeated. I saw it in Matty's eyes.
Corinne: Ace was...
Randy: Hates where he is.
Dan: GC and Crystal don't want to be here. It's that obvious.
Randy: If we don't sweep this thing into the merge, if there is a merge, we are sorry. I don't care if it's swimming, I don't care if it's land, you guys...(Corinne and Dan agree):
Dan: Did you see them try and pick up their clothes? They're just mopey.
Randy: I mean you guys, you didn't have to do anything...
Bob: Oh yeah. I was out in the cold. You wouldn't let me play.
Dan: They looked like they didn't want to be there.
Corinne: I couldn't how Crystal didn't move. What Jeff said was totally true, that's why I thought...
Randy: Kenny, my God...
Susie: How about Crystal not moving?
Dan: Did you see them when Jeff was like, "Pick up your stuff and get moving." Kenny was like walking in circles. It was awful.
Randy: I don't know who's going next, but they hate each other.
Corinne: Usually Ace puts on a show, he takes the dog and pony show at a challenge.
Susie: He looked a little down.
Corinne: He was like barely hanging on.
Randy: Could you believe what he said? "I love my new tribe?" I have heard lines before...
Corinne: He's just desperate that they don't vote him off. I hope they get rid of him.
Dan: Fine by me.
Jacquie and Ace Before Tribal Council
After joining the new Fang Tribe and losing the immunity challenge, Ace and Jacquie strategize on how to convince the tribe that Kelly should be voted off.
Ace: The only chance I think we have is we get them to take Kelly now instead of you or me. When Sugar comes to us as the missing member...
Jacquie: We fake 'em out with the immunity idol?
Ace: We say we'll vote Sugar, then she pulls the immunity idol.
Jacquie: Then our 3 votes count because she doesn't have to show the immunity idol until after the votes are cast.
Ace: Right.
Jacquie: Then it'll be even.
Ace: Then it will be even.
Jacquie: And that will be it.
Ace: That's our only hope. We have to make sure it's Kelly.
Jacquie: They are loving her. They know she wasn't really in cahoots with anybody on our tribe. How can we convince them? Just that they need stronger members?
Ace: I don't know. We just have to guarantee Kelly's going.
Jacquie: Then we have the next thing to figure out. If Kelly's going, I still think we should stress the important of voting out the weakest link. Either way, it's gonna help us.
Fang Spots a Monkey
As Matty, Kelly and Ace observe a monkey in a tree, Kelly comments, "Oh my God, this is so Earth's Eden."
Ace: There he goes! He's just moved up.
(Matty and Ace point)
Matty (to Kelly): Do you see it?
Kelly: Why's it so little?
Ace: He's a little...I can't think of the name. It begins with a C.
Matty: He's moving on up. He's moving behind that big bushy tree right there.
Kelly: Oh yeah. There he is.
Ace: His tail's hanging down.
Matty: Oh, he just grabbed that one right there!
Kelly: What if he falls? (Ace mumbles something) All I see is black.
Ace: Do you see his legs?
Matty: That's like the coolest thing ever, dude.
Kelly: Oh my God, this is so Earth's Eden.
Matty: That's so lucky we got to see that.
Randy Bad-Mouths "GC"
After joining the new Kota Tribe, Randy makes his true feelings of "GC" known to Marcus
Randy: GC, man, that guy's just poison. I think even though Fang has the 4-3 advantage over there, I'm sure you counted it to like you did, I still think GC will be the first to go. He's as caustic as they come.
Marcus: What was that whole cryptic thing about "I've been struggling for the last few days." Was stuff just getting at him?
Randy: Everybody was biting their tongue for a week or two with him. We were just letting him get away with battles best left unfought, cause it didn't matter, and finally, I just unloaded on him. He was elected sheriff, he was elected leader, we didn't have a leader. Jeff made us choose a leader at the first Tribal COuncil. He didn't lead anything. He'd go off on his little expeditions. He's got a huge chip on his shoulder. How old are you?
Marcus: 28.
Randy: He's like 23 or 24...
Marcus: Just a little too independent for the situation, maybe?
Randy: Tribe and team are not part of his vocabulary.
"GC" and Ace's Grasshopper Hunt
"GC" gives Ace some pointers in the art of catching grasshoppers
(Ace runs around the grass trying to kill a grasshopper, and finally gets one)
GC: Good. Yeah.
(Ace says something about a stick. He flinches when the grasshopper starts moving)
GC: They'll kick for a long time. (Ace puts it in his pocket) It just takes a little bit of effort. If you're lazy you won't ever eat a grasshopper.
(cut)
GC: Take their head off, put a stick through 'em until they (?) their little hands apart, rotate it a couple times over a flame.
Ace: Cool.
GC: Chow down.
Ace: I'm game.
GC: Drink some water afterwards so you don't have all that (expletive) in your mouth.
Ace: Does it taste bad?
(Ace roasts the grasshopper)
GC: Nothing like a roasted grasshopper as a midnight snack.
Ken: The back part's the best. It's like a french fry.
Ace: You know what it tastes like? Like the tail of a tilapia, one of our...
Matty: This the first time you've eaten, bro?
Ace: Yeah. (pauses, then takes a chomp)
