Laws of nature, of geology, of chemistry and of blood, to name but a very few, are now codified. We have cracked a lot of coding, deciphered how "existence" itself is put together and of what it is made.
Thus we have attained the highest standard of living yet on this planet. Not every human individual is sharing our existence with us, you and I, as we talk on these message boards exchanging ideas and information, thoughts, beliefs, hyptheses and guesses, theories and inventions.
Our greatest achievement is yet to be made. We individuals who value freedom, we fight to achieve just one country on Earth where people are able to live fully without fear of irrationality destroying everything. Or anything.
The rational way of life is the uncoerced.

The original first post of this thread was as follows:
People are so excited by the prospect they are speechless and can only post in pictures.
Vote for The Individuals' Party and help us all to achieve true freedom and to gradually purge the world of uncivilized i.e. coercive behavior.
The reward is the golden land of true opportunity that the idea of America always seemed to promise and which it by rights should deliver to the world if only it would.

True freedom comes from knowing where the boundaries are.
We need a new system of governance according to proper definitions of law, force, defence and freedom. The purpose of government is negative, in that it is the negation of force and coercion. If at the same time it allowed by law to initiate force, the concept of justice is destroyed. In 1848 Frederic Bastiat called it "organized injustice."
It is not because of injustice that we have managed to make progress, but in spite of it. Do we need injustice in order to do well? Ask yourselves - are you actively seeking to bring injustice on yourself? Is that character-building or good for raising a family?
If you come to the conclusion that injustice does not serve your needs as a human being, vote to have your rights restored and the government returned to its proper function: that of protecting our rights to life, liberty and property and nothing more.
Vote for yourselves to run your own lives. The purpose of government is to protect your rights to your life, liberty and property (a.k.a. pursuit of happiness.) Its proper purpose is not to deliver happiness but to deliver us all from coercion, slavery, intimidation, threats and physical harm. Its proper function is to create the opportunity for us to live our lives so that we can deliver happiness to ourselves by pursuing that in which we are interested.
Each of us has to have our rights protected by law. Law cannot then also have the permission to use force. It is our means of guarding against the use of force, so that we may get together with each other in groups of two or more, or as many as needed, to achieve some purpose that is worthwhile and beneficial to us.
Delineating our rights is a matter of drawing an imaginary line around each person to put it fancifully. No one may have the right to force themselves across the line that marks the space between each of us. Making agreements with others has to be done voluntarily, to mutual benefit. Having such notions as our "Laws of the Land" is what will protect us.
What we can tell anyone who would attempt to threaten, bully, destroy our property or our citizens will be dealt with harshly. I'm not against killing perpetrators and feeding them to lions and tigers at our zoos.
Vote for yourselves to run your own lives.
In today's politics, candidates running for election to spend your money on "everyone" while you hope they'll deign to spend at least some of it on something that you can actually see get done.
We do not know how much cheaper it would be to do things ourselves. It will take extra effort on each of our parts, at first, but the more you get used to doing, the easier it will become.
The good news is that you won't be supporting people whose job i is to occupy "bureaucracy" in government doing things that they ought to be eking out a living in a private capacity doing, for all the true interest there is on the part of the citizenry. Or at least, that's how I read the fear expressed by so many when faced with the idea that without government intervention, their pet project, vested interest, whatever you call it - would not garner enough uncoerced support, so therefore Everybody has to be made to help.
How does this make sense??? The only way it makes even partial sense is that somebody is so pathetic all he can think of is a lame idea that nobody likes and so everybody should recompense him for his sad-sackiness and utter uselessness. Not, he ought to think up other ideas, or just complete a low-skill job of work to get something other people DO want done.
Freedom is the opportunity. That's all you need. There is a great deal of bleating by the current batch of "leaders" that people need more opportunities, more money pumped in which was collected by force (or will be in the future more or less from you personally depending on whom of the array of tools is chosen). Apparently everybody will be lacking in opportunities if not for this clever reversal of the mechanism of justice. Now, the just thing to do is plunder, take from others to serve an alleged "common" good.
Meanwhile, the stated purpose of this unholy mess lies broken and bleeding in the depths of our memories, forgotten. The point of law is to prohibit force, which is the magic mechanism for achieving an arena of opportunity. When people cannot take your life from you but must leave you to it, there is more chance people will share their wildest ideas with each other, safe in the knowledge that the worst that can happen is the other person will say, "No thanks. Not interested."
