I googled "vampire role playing" and got this. I bolded all the stuff that made me laugh.

Welcome to the Vampire Court

We all hope your stay here is enjoyable, and welcome you back.

Before you enter, however, there are some things you should know about the Court.

VC (Vampire Court) is a role playing room. In it, people play characters, usually vampires. Any race or species are welcome, however. Our most popular are vampires, garou, pookas (faeries), mortals, and various spirits.

God Characters:

We do NOT appreciate god characters. This means that a character has so much power, that it is literally impossible to do anything without them saying it's okay. If you have a god character, that you insist on playing, you should have the stats, the system in which the character is played in, and all necessary information that any normal DM, GM, or Storyteller would expect. This is because many people come in here just expecting to be a 'god', and having everyone obey their every whim. You will not be respected, nor acknowledged, if your character is a god character, without proof. It is not feasible to have a character with no weaknesses.

Vampire: The Masquerade:

The base system for VC is Vampire: the Masquerade. As said before, we do allow characters from other worlds and systems. No person is required to play by V:tM rules, with one strict condition:

*If you claim you are of a clan (Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue, etc), or claim that your character is somehow related to V:tM, you will be expected to follow ALL V:tM rules*

If you are not sure of the rules, then ask someone who is familiar with them, or buy the V:tM book. This will be strictly enforced, because no one likes a cheater.

Fighting:

Although fighting is not the norm, it does happen occassionally. We do not condone it, but we realize that it cannot be helped at times. If you find yourself in a fight, it is to be handled like any other role playing system. While it is obviously impossible to have dice rolls, any actions, whether defensive or offensive, must be explained. i.e

If Bob attacks Jeremy :

#12: Bob(@207.56.75.113)

*Bob uses Animalism 5 to control Jeremy's arm, causing him to scratch and cut himself*

#9: Jeremy(@38.211.120.0)

*defends himself by using Dominate 5 on Bob, releasing his muscles to jump behind a couch, getting out of eyesight*

You get the idea.

Obviously, not everyone is going to use vampiric powers, since not everyone is a vampire. If your character does not possess any strange or unusual powers (such as a warrior wouldn't), there is no need to describe powers you are using, since you don't have them! Just describe how your arms are positioned, or how you attack, or whatever.

(Mages- You don't have to actually chant the words or incantation, just say the name of the spell you are using)

irl note : When fighting, it is assumed that any bickerings, or reasons for hate are kept STRICTLY between characters. It will not be tolerated to voice your rl hatred for an individual. It is also assumed, unless otherwise stated, that characters 'in love' are also just role playing, and any rl commitment is not meant to be portrayed.

For all those that do not role play : You are still welcome here, we just ask that if you are going to talk about rl (real life), please keep it in PM (Private Messages). Most come here for the role playing, and the temporary escape from the stresses of rl. We would appreciate it if you did not remind us of it, while we are trying to relax.

Also, if you pm, or talk in public, and ask someone for their stats, you will most likely get a response like, "532/male". Obviously, this is not their real age, but it is the age of their character. If someone answers you like that, that usually indicates that they are NOT interested in rl chatting, so please, do not persist in it. Feel free to play along, though.

In case you didn't see it on the entrance page, the Vampire Court is an All Ages room. Pictures depicting nude women/men, porn, or other like images will result in a warning. If that warning is not heeded, you will most likely be ignored by the entire room, and then there would be no point in being there.

A note on foul language: Most people in VC don't care if you use obscenities, but there are some who are very offended by it. And since it is an All Ages room, we must comply with those individual's who do not wish to hear it. If someone asks you to tone down the language, please be respectful of them and do so.

Other than that, we hope you enjoy your stay!

I know it may seem like a lot of rules, but in truth, it just ensures that everyone has a good time during their stay.
