Posts: 770 (10/05/08 7:33 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I'm not sure how many seasons of this have aired in the States, but at this point it's worth watching only to wait and see if this series will ever regain its past glory. The worst thing about this is probably how most of the characters to die or leave are actually good ones. If you haven't watched this yet, it chronicles the daily challenges of Britain's MI-5, including terrorists, hackers, rogue politicians, shady businessmen and traitors. The best seasons (and the strongest cast) are from Seasons 1-3, and then it all goes a bit downhill from there on. Spoilers for the upcoming season (Season 7), to be aired sometime between now and November: Spoiler [+] That bitch Jo's fate is still unknown, per the cliffhanger finale last season, where I actually hope Adam has killed her because she is bloody irritating. Adam will leave the series, it was speculated that he would die, but this is not certain. And this guy: Richard Armitage, will be Adam's replacement: Lucas North, an agent who has been held in a Russian prison for the past eight years. Ros will be back as well. Arrgh why not Ruth, Tom or even Tessa? Why?

That was um...intense. I think that was one of only a few episodes I saw, and totally forgot the show existed, but that was a pretty cool scene.

If anyone wants to watch more of this series, someone has uploaded all the episodes up to S3.E2 on YouTube. I wonder if there's any chance it will get released on DVD here in the states? I don't want to know anything about the new season, but I'm fearful for Zaf. He seems like the type of character they could kill off at any second. I guess that's what I like about the show -- this feeling that any character could be killed off or, in the cases of Ruth or Zoe, shipped off never to be seen again. I didn't expect to like Roz so much either. I couldn't stand that actress when she was on Wire In The Blood and they seemed to be forcing her on us pretty early on. But she wrapped up the last season I saw (the one that ended with her and Adam underwater) rather strong.

Strangely, I hated Hermione's replacement on WitB, Simone Lahbib - who was great as Helen Stewart on Bad Girls. OH, THE REASON I BUMPED THIS? Season 8 starts on Wednesday 5th November 2009. I love the series.... except when it brings the anti-american horseshit into it.

Harry is back to his unemotional self. Malcolm's replacement is a kid. Ugh! The American chick / London CIA liaison possibly has the worst fake American accent the BBC has ever aired. Torchwood solved this problem HIRE SOMEONE WHO GREW UP IN THE STATES! you jackasses!

I hate it. Adam did it too, seriously writers, you need to think up a new schtick.

I am, however, glad that Ruth is back, but I would have definitely been much happier if it was Zoe. I miss that character! She was brilliant.

Although Raza and Miranda just separated this month.

Zoe and Tom or Keeley and Matthew I just I should say make the cutest couple! :) I've never seen Life on Mars either, I guess I have a new show to watch! :D So what do you think they are going to do with the Ruth/Harry storyline? I think it would be too easy for them to just hook up and be happy together, this show has never been about happiness...

I'm uber stoked that Ruth has returned. Life on Mars and the first season of Ashes to Ashes are great (didn't watch the 2nd) - AtA ends next season though, and it's said the true identity of Gene Hunt will be revealed. :O And yeah, this show does produce hookups (sad news about Jo and Zaf though) - fun fact: Nicola Walker (Ruth) met her husband on the set of Spooks as well! He was the hot redhead whom she was crushing over in one of the S3 episodes, I think it's the one with the Colombian girl. P.S.: I don't think Ruth will have a happy ending with Harry though. That's simply not how the show works. ;-; I'll be glad if they make an exception, but then again it'd feel like they're pandering to fan wank. Re: Current cast spoilers. Spoiler [+] It's said this is Hermione's last season. I can't recall where I read it though.

Although I think you're right, the likelihood of Ruth and Harry being able to hook up, and not have one of them tragically die or something along those lines is near impossible. Well if it is her last season, then I'm definitely hoping for a very, very gorey ending. A girl can dream right? So if she is gone, and so is the character in your spoiler, and assuming that either one of Harry/Ruth has to go to keep with the theme that no one can be happy..... I'm guessing it will be time for them to introduce a few new characters right? Does anyone know why Malcolm left the show?

I was really rooting for the Russian to kill her, but alas, they never kill off the annoying ones when you want them to. Although -- seeing as how she is some double agent, maybe that will explain her horrendous accent in the future. It will be interesting to see what she does to Lucas in the coming episodes. As for the preview next week - do you think this is the end of Roz?
