Oh, Carla! I think the editors do want us to see what a warm and wacky gal she is, and I admire her character a great deal, but she really messed up those desserts. Stefan planned a frozen dessert and found an inadequate freezer, and he solved the problem with an ice bath. She would have been better off tossing it or rewriting it as soup. It was something that should have never left the kitchen listed as a frozen dessert. I wonder if there was enough supplies around the kitchen to improvise another dessert? Or serve the baklava in bigger portions as an independent dessert? Who knows? Also, Carla and Radhika also should have realized that American diners don't want anyone to mess with their chocolate cake. Maybe put the spices in a top layer frosting that they can scrape off if it's really too "foreign" for them, but if you put all the strangeness right in the batter, it's an all-or-nothing risk.

I think HBR did need to go home for poor managing skills. She, herself, recognized that a good top chef would have said, "I don't care, Jeff, you are FOTH." She explained that she makes herself the sacrificial lamb in personal conflicts, and she has to be more controlling and forceful to execute a good vision among a bunch of egotistical chefs in the kitchen. If she defers to a stronger-willed person, then she is incapable of the job. Besides, her boot made for good television! She will be OK in the chef world after this. She's a good chef. But she's contemplative, measured, introspective. She, herself, talked about maybe writing cook books. That's better suited to her introverted style. I truly wish her well.

Please, can Leah go home next. Please? Please? She's just a bad cook and a whiney person. All the cheftestants are under extreme pressure, but they have been really immature and undisciplined to get all flirty with each other as a means of coping. Especially with cameras rolling. Really? Didn't they think that one through? Again, it makes for good television, but they are both losing focus on their food. Crash. And. Burn....Please? I used to really like Hosea and saw him as level-headed and well rounded, and now I don't want him touching my food. *Shudder*

F4: Stefan, Jamie, Jeff and Fabio

I keep thinking about that dragon/princess quote. I guess there is some chance that Carla could come back from waaaaaaay behind and snag the prize, but the edit of Jamie "I'm not winning anything" and Stefan "I'm winning everything" really makes me think its a Jamie Stefan F2. And REMEMBER that in the end, the finalists get help from prior contestants. Remember how in an earlier season, Mike lost some of the fish for Marcel's final challenge? He left it at the hotel and didn't point that out. Sabatoge! I can see people dragging their feet in helping Stefan if he has verbally abused them previously. And I see people being more helpful to Jamie who has good relationships with everyone except Danny and Stefan (if memory serves).

Anyway, a Jamie win is my prediction. Based on the storyline / edits, I am guessing that she'll be the knight who doesn't kill many dragons but takes the princess home nonetheless.
