Me too. I thought, from their comments, that Carla had for sure won. If she was second, it was only by a sliver.

This show used to be all about creativity and personal stamp. Is it just me or have the moved away from that a bit in order to highlight nicely cooked (ahem) meat and creative plagiarism? |

HUNG recreated the dish perfectly on his season. Yhis challenge has to do with tastebuds and refinement of skills. Sometimes being too creative is not a good
thing: Sam and his watermelon gnocci w/bleau cheese.

From Eric Ripert's website: "She took a long time filleting her black bass and as a result she got so behind that she had nothing for me to taste. I imagine this probably contributed to her losing the competition since she did not have the chance to get even some basic guidance from me on the black bass dish." BTW- Eric also commented that the black bass dish was the most difficult one to replicate. |

Naw. They're just pumping Carla up and throwing her a bone because she's going next week. She's black, BTW. |

She's not black I believe she is multiracial.

I think Carla would self-identify as black but I'm just guessing, she can be white if she wants, it doesn't matter to me. She has really stepped up
her game since the double elimination, all the others are still playing their safety zones.

And Stefan is very, very white. And Fabio has olive-toned skin. Hosea probably burns, then tans, whilst Leah can't be bothered to drag herself out into the
sun, so we don't really know her melanin situation. This is relevant why, exactly??

Carla is black, but how did that even come up and who cares?

victalac, apparently. He also needs to learn to quote better, because it looks like he's agreeing with you after disagreeing with you.

Carla is black? I always thought she was some kind of muppet/alien hybrid.

Maybe this is minor quibbling, but why do people keep referring to the final 2? For the last two seasons, there's been three contestants in the finale.

I am FINE with a challenge like this for a quickfire, but I don't like to see a chef (especially one of the more talented chefs there) get eliminated on a challenge like this... |
