If there are people on the tribe creating conflict (gc and randy) and also someone thats not all that much stronger than her (ken), i could see why susie
might be suprised and upset. Im someone that pays attention to the little things/background scenes when watching the eps and as a result i noticed little
things like matty and dan given susie hugs, or putting their hands on her shoulders etc. She also was shown talking stratgedy with dan, randy and matty about
getting rid of michelle and also with gc, krystal and matty about the "dan having the idol" scenario. Thefore, I think on a personal level she is
probably well liked by her tribe and on a strategical level doesnt feel on the outs, so being ranked last probably came as a suprise and hurt her feelings.

Who ultimately decides the ranking if people disagree? Let's say I'm on a tribe of seven. I'm not allowed to rank myself, so I'll be getting six rankings - one from each of my tribemates. Let's say my final rankings were as follows: 2, 4, 4, 3, 2, 3 Add up those scores, you get 18. Now divide that by the number of scores (6). So in the end, I'd be ranked as the 3rd most valuable tribe member overall. |

I bet that onion alliance gets exposed. Think Marquesas.

I don't think so, MP.. Corinne has mentioned several times (both on the show & the Insider clips) that her alliance is making Ace think he's the
leader, so I doubt they're dumb enough to expose themselves.

There not going to be given a chance to get together and strategize about how keep them from being the top 4 etc, so who knows what could happen. THe results wont be nearly as predictable as the other tribes results. The Onion alliance is playing brilliantly, if what we think that we know is really true. I'm not saying that they go to F4 together, because they probably don't (ie. the old saying, "an alliance that is shown is not an alliance that lasts"). However, somehow, even without being able to get together to strategize about how to keep from being in the Top 4, they not only kept from all being in the top 4, one of the allies is MVP and none of them are standing beside each other, and none is singled-out for being the weak link. They say it's planned that they all appear to have other allies, the 4 of them aren't off alone somewhere strategizing; they even brought in the old, likeable, workhorse to keep around, as needed. And, 3 of them stay strong at the swap. Looking at both final rankings, arguably, not any real surprises. If, for example, GC or Bob, had been one higher or one lower, it wouldn't have shocked me. I would bet that there wasn't a huge discrepancy in the way the majority voted, even outsiders, like Kelly. Ace could have done something bogus, like rank Sugar as 1, just to skew her out of last place. * I wonder what they did in the case of a tie vote. Like, Dan got 3 votes for 1 and 3 votes for 2, and Matty got 3 votes for 1 and 3 votes for 2... oh, yeah, Jeff would be the tie-breaker... I get it ;) |

I don't know. If production really didn't tip the switch, it would be risky to do anything totally bogus.
(Probst is bragging on how it was a surprise in his preview, so I'm assuming they were told to rank people first, then told they were switching tribes.
Even though we see promo snips in the other order.) I think at most if you thought you knew what was up, you might nudge someone a couple of places higher or
lower.
Four people, even if they were coordinated, couldn't control something like not being next to each other. (You don't rank yourself, so each onion is being ranked by three onions and four non-onions.) And I think none of them got ranked lowest because none of them are the least valuable - it's an alliance of strong to middle players, not like Crystal's weak player alliance. I think the part where brilliance in hiding an alliance would come into play would be in the picking. The onions got a little lucky there, in that their picks were all reasonable based on who was available. They didn't have to do anything that would stand out and tip the alliance. |

Agreed, Onion's aren't bottom of the barrel, BUT if Kelly, for example, happened to be an Onion instead of similarly-physically-conditioned (??)
Jacque, then their postions on the rankings could have been reversed, for example. Do "we" (audience) know if Jacque is actually more valuable,
contributing around camp, better at challenges than Kelly? All that I know is that she is allowed to sleep next to Marcus and compete against Corinne and
Charlie for his attention, and Kelly is not. I don't know any other difference between the two.
But, at the end of the day, the alliance is what it is, and hiding it, as well as they do, is a lot of skill, and even more luck at the turnout. |

I stand by the belief that it will be fairly obvious who the onion alliance is. However, I think Bob is clueless.

What is up with all the cult-like Onion love. =o
I think Midnight has a very valid point. If Ace is ranked low, then it will set off alarms that the 4 ranked highest are in an alliance. |

Can we call it "the cult of Marcus" instead? lol
Ace is ranked second after Marcus FYI |

if Kelly, for example, happened to be an Onion instead of similarly-physically-conditioned (??) Jacque... Do "we" (audience) know if Jacque is actually more valuable, contributing around camp, better at challenges than Kelly?I think Jacque is quite more athletic and more muscled, so I wouldn't have called them comparable for physical challenges. From what we've been shown, Kelly has made enemies (Ace and Sugar), and paired herself socially with the first boot. That could well be an editing manipulation, but it could also play into her general likeability ranking on the team. |

No, they made it too obvious tonight that Kelly is supposed to go after Paloma. I called it - Kelly would be safe for now. But I must confess the edit tonight did have me fooled. |
