It couldn't possibly be because of the issues, could it? I detested this woman the minute she used her pregnant daughter to pimp her 'family values' credibility. As parents we all know shit happens and you do your best, but to push a 17 YO into marriage and not say one fucking word about this child completing her education made me ill. Add that her son is going directly into the military instead of first getting a college degree plus the fact that she bounced around from school to school before getting a BA, you have a family who doesn't seem to value education that much. Her answers to both Gibson and Couric showed her to be embarrassingly uninformed. It's not that Palin is a dumb woman - I actually think she's pretty smart and savvy- but she shows absolutely no intellectual curiosity about or empathy towards anything outside her world. So please don't give me the 'liberal women hate her' crap. There were plenty of smart, capable Repub women for McCain to choose from. That he picked this religious nutter only shows that he more about proving that he's a 'maverick' than putting country first.
