What conservatives tend to ignore is that FM/FM were privately owned and account for less than half of the subprime loans. So why did McCain single out Fannie
Mae? Maybe because it bought loans from blacks, or maybe because the CEO was black (and corrupt). John McCain has yet to blame Countrywide/BoA for it's
role in the mess. John McCain has yet to blame Phil Gramm for his role in repealing the Glass-Steagall act.

They better look under Palins skirt, she may have balls. She is going to drop the ceremonial puck in Philly for the start of the NHL season Saturday night. A
town that boos santa and cheers when an opponent with a neck injury gets carted off the field will show her no mercy. Thank god it will be televised in my
area.

Bill Clinton is like the flamboyant party goer spreading cheer but leaves a big mess for others to clean up.
Will there be big race riots and race cards thrown all over the place from the likes of Jessie and Al should Obama lose? |

All this race baiting is actually working. The polls arent reflecting it yet, but the media still does not understand the thinking process of the rural
culture.
It scares me that the media is all but guaranteeing a win for Obama. It isnt a done deal. McCain can win this if he keeps up this strategy in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida. It takes people in these areas a long time to change thier course of thinking. They are used to blaming thier problems on blacks, people who dont want to work, people who are against God, Europeans and now terrorists. It will take a while for them to blame thier ills on things like deregulation, lack of oversite etc, if they ever do that at all. The other day, a McCain strategist suggested thier racing suspicion about Obama was on the same level of being able to call the police when someone is breaking into thier house. I can imagine all my neighbors inmaging a black man climbing in thier window at that moment to steal thier tv. So get ready for riots on election night, troops being called into Detroit and Chicago, and a McCain Palin administration. |

As much as I adore Bill, he did start this whole mess. Tis a shame.Blaming Bill Clinton for this mess is the exact same thing as blaming Ronald Reagan for Sept. 11 because of his decisions in Afghanistan. Both were questionable decisions followed by bad decisions and lack of action by following administrations. |

Bill Clinton didn't single handedly cause this mess. You people are fucking drunk. This is why I don't come here for my financial news.

The right-wing is desperate so their relying on the old tried-and-true scapegoats of blacks and Clinton. Sad shit, republicans.

Yeah, it wouldnt have anything to do with people still being suspicious and angry about the 2000 election, people feeling alienated, increasing polarization,
politicians stirring up racial unrest, religious leaders preaching culture war, extreme media bias on both sides and extreme fear over bad economic times.
It would just be because they lost. |

Gregoire wrote: Obama's latest talking point which seems to be accepted erroneously by many voters, is blaming deregulation for the current mess. The 1999 deregulation bill that Obama seems to object to was signed by President Clinton and Treasury Secretary Bob Rubin and Undersecretary Lawrence Summers who helped fashion the bill. That said, the entire mess cannot be blamed on Clinton. But the current mess is like a soup, with many ingredients. And one of those ingredients is that 1999 deregulation bill. |

I think one person rioting is just a hissy fit. You'll need backup.
